If you're willing to run around in circles to get that much glimmer and bore yourself for an hour, I say more power to you lol. It won't be how I'll be spending my time in the game, but if that's your deal, then go knock yourself out imo. Go for it! Drive your sparrow around to 5 caves repeatedly til you can't handle it no more!

It doesn't make sense to me but a lot of people did it if you can believe youtube.

Oh, I know, I saw it. Just a question, is there a reason you think it should be nerfed? Chest farming an area is incredibly boring! I've tried it. I could only do it for about 20-30 minutes before wanting to shoot myself lol. If someone wants to endure that kind of extended boredom, is there a reason they shouldn't get their glimmer for it?

Well it isn't my biggest pet peeve, but I feel like it cheapens the process of getting glimmer. Instead of earning it exploring or doing missions or playing the crucible for hours, they are running in circles to get the same amount in a few minutes.

Admittedly i have farmed outside the Devils Lair area for a multiple hours and found that sometimes you will end up with more people farming in that area too opening chests, it will destroy the farming pattern for you so becomes less glimmer p/h so ... more people = less effective. Some People claiming in videos that they was clearing 10k glimmer per hour was basically the high end of the farming scale, some even 20k on Youtube that is just rubbish, broadcasters making up figures to attract more viewers, its typical youtube lol. (might be possible later on in the full game i suppose) Also if you do get good loot from the Cryptarch guy you'll have to be right level to use it, so going to have to do other stuff to rank up XP anyways to use it. Also if they Nerf'd the chests all that will do is make farmers find another ways to farm what they want. (trust me there's other ways to farm for more than just Glimmer and Engrams loot i.e Glimmer, Engrams, Vanguard Rank and Vanguard/Crucible marks) tested Nerf the Cryptarch Guy so you cant get Rank XP from bought weapons that will cut down on need for glimmer :) Keep Safe Guardians !! :) [i]"Play the game how you want to play, not how you are told how to play".[/i]
