Yes, but magnetic weaponry requires less power than energy weaponry. And energy weapons still need to be recharged or have their battery replaced.

And you can blow off walls with it In my opinion a rail gun or gauss gun are way better And they do [i][u][b]MUCH[/b][/u][/i] more damage to lower energy use unlike laser weapons
