Above, I've posted a picture of my titan's Cydonia-AR3. It's special ability is due to the aim assist function. The whole idea about the aim assist is that it gives these little boosts to green and better weapons. Note "precision sight"? That's the aim assist kicking in. How about weapons that aim better under fire? etc? If Bungie did away with aim assist, they'd have to do away with those special abilities...and then we'd just have vanilla weapons.

Edited by Lost Fallen13: 8/6/2014 7:12:40 PMNot sure those are special abilities... You could remove all aim assist and all those properties would still apply. I think this is a piece of equipment and not a special "ability". 1. Precision sight could refer to the size of the dot. The smaller the dot on a sight the more precise it is... Also the sight itself is more precise as a whole. 2. Highest zoom is self explanatory. You get a higher magnification. 3. Increased range could be one of two things. A: The increased magnification obviously increases your precision at longer ranges. Or B: The velocity of a bullet being fired from the bullet is increased. I would be leaning toward the former since the "ability" is just a different scope. Definitely agree with smaller headshot boxes too.

If you read my original post, and thread title, I'm asking for them to lower/decrease the aim-assist in the game. Though, I would be happy if it wasn't in the game at all, but I understand there are a lot of gamers that need assistance with their aiming. Again, I'm asking for Bungie to at least lower it, as it was way too easy to get headshots in the game, especially with Sniper rifles.

understandable. I'm not knocking your suggestion either way, tbh. For the life of me, I can't recall if there was AA on white weaponry or not. Part of me wants to assume there is, but meh. If Bungie were to find common ground, they'd probably have layers of AA, scaling as you went up in rarity, to show for better scopes, better stocks, etc, where as white weaponry would have little to no AA. That's just me. Again, they'll probably tweak the AA by the time retail rolls around, so meh.
