Destiny is not a f'ing MMO. It doesn't have the standard archetypes nor are they needed. Basically with Destiny everyone will need to be a Damage Dealer and a Healer (reviver) and a Tank at different points.

You are aware that mmo stands for massive multiplayer online... Therefore destiny is to be considered an mmofps
-
Whats massive multiplayer about it? To my understanding only a maximum of 16 players are allowed in same instance. Outside of tower I never ran across more than 5 other guardians at any one time. There is a reason Bungie's calls it a shared world shooter.
-
What's massive about the max players being like 5 or 6 in an area lol.
-
You are likely to run into 30 plus people on the map as you or they move about.
-
You only see like six people at a time
-
But there can't be that many simultaneously. Most I saw was like 6ish during a public event
-
I think I had around 10. But it should be remembered that we were on a beta and your time online will also determine numbers
-
What do you mean by your time online will determine that?
-
Actually their instanced sessions limit (very heavily) how many people can be there, so there's nothing 'massive' about the multi-player, haha. Hence their reason for never calling themselves an MMO, and instead going with the label of "Shared World Shooter".
-
These are RPG elements, dude.

Standard archetypes are not what makes an MMO an MMO
