You will probably never reach 50.
20 is the cap. To get past that you need Light stat (since you get motes of light from EXP after level 20, and not another level)
Armor you equip is what gives you that stat, and from the looks of it, 118 Light = 9 levels, so its about 12-13 light to gain 1 level. WIth that being said, the armor we have seen so far gave him about +30 light each, even if we up that to + 50 each (for a total of 200 light) thats only about 16 levels. I doubt we will see armor with +100 light for EACH PIECE, which is approximately what you will need to get another 30 levels to 50.
This is of course assuming that the limit doesnt plateau at some point. For all you know, the maximum light you can get is 120-130, in which case the true cap will be at level 30.

You can continue to level up by who knows how far, as it shows that there is till some XP to gain for the Titan, even with light.
-
No you cant. Exp levels you to 20, after which you get Motes of Light for every level up with EXP. To get above 20, you need light. http://i.imgur.com/z2Gy5gi.jpg

Yes, but there is still XP to gain, unless that shows how much more light you need to get to the next level.
-
Yes, but when you gain the EXP, you get a mote of light, not another level. Look at the picture I showed you. It explains it clearly. To gain levels past 20, you need to equip armor with the Light stat bonus.
-
So when you level up with your armor, you get a mote of light, or are there multiple motes of light that you receive?
-
No, it has nothing to do with the armor you are wearing. When you reach level 20, you are capped. If you gain enough EXP for another level, you will gain a Mote of Light instead of another level, and you can use those Motes to buy stuff from the Speaker. (white cloaked dude that talks slow in the beta) This is regardless of what armor you have equipped or how much Light stat you have. In order to gain levels past 20, you have to equip armor that has a "+ Light" stat on it, kind of like this. http://i.imgur.com/TSLoogm.jpg When you gain light, you also gain levels (I suspect 12-13 light per level) and if you unequip that armor, you will lose those levels. You can see this guy is level 20, with 118 light, for a total level 29. http://i.imgur.com/J6x9f9q.jpg

Edited by Sd Kfz 1824985: 7/31/2014 6:21:25 PMThat's what I mean. Your armor gives you light, thus increasing your level. We don't know much about the motes of light though. I know about the leveling system though, my only concern was about the motes of light.
-
Motes of light are currency. the Speaker in the Beta accepted them for his items. I can link you to the beta files which show all of his wares and how much motes of light they cost. However, so far, we have no indication that Motes are anything but the currency (a very rare one) that you get instead of a level after hitting the level 20 cap.
-
So I guess you could say the Speaker's items represent that you are above level 20. Quite an interesting way of making you stand out if you ask me.
-
Yes thats for sure. Although they have the level 20 cap on them, they require about 10 motes of light, if not more. So yeah its a very good indication that you invested and continued to gain EXP for your character after reaching level 20.

Edited by Sd Kfz 1824985: 7/31/2014 6:45:20 PMThe golden wolf cape for the Hunter looks very unique, not to mention that The Speaker is the only one who you can get holographic bonds for the Warlocks from. The Titan sashes are very uniquely themed as well. I know all of them are exclusive to him, but the bonds are extremely unique as they have many different designs.

Yeah I love the capes, and I will be using them for sure, but I gotta admit I am immensely jealous of the Hologram arm bands, especially that bright green flower looking one. I seriously cannot wait until September.
