Bungie said to trust them but they have not given us a good reason not to include it yet. saving it for a later game or as dlc is the very reason we distrust EA.

 • At E3, they announced that splitscreen would detract from the open world freedom that they want players to have. I STRONGLY suggest that they allow splitscreen for the competitive multiplayer though, as the world freedom isn't an issue. Plus from polls and forums, there is a large group of players that want splitscreen

 • I think they're absolutely wrong in their statement, by the way. Because as Destiny stands, the very essence of playing with a fireteam does exactly what they're describing. Because players on a fireteam can't go to separate worlds, they have to be in the same zone. And they have to be playing the same mission as each other. Now, one guy can say "Screw this mission" and just wander around outside killing things, but wouldn't you just stop being in a fireteam with a guy like that? What's the point of straying from your fireteam at all? Okay, so you can leave the fireteam at will and go wherever. If you have someone sitting next to you playing, you're not going to want to do that in the first place, and the people playing splitscreen already know that when one of them leaves, the other has to stop playing (at least temporarily, until he can log back in alone). Their reasoning is backwards and confusing. But I don't demand launch day support of splitscreen, it's too late for that, but they shouldn't just strike it from their to do list so casually like that.

 • True, I can understand that 100% But paying $10 or less to play with my wife is a thousand times more preferable than paying $600-$1000 to play on a separate xbox, tv and copy of destiny.
