I'm not like a lot of the posts I've been seeing lol, I don't have a wife to play with and my girlfriend is more into mario and zelda than fps. But I can totally relate to what you're saying, me and my step brothers would pull countless all nighters on Halo split screen fueled by pizza, mountain dew, and an ambition to be the best in the house. Now a days I do enjoy online gaming with my friends, but I still love playing with my step brothers (who unfortunately don't have xbox live.) I'm really disappointed that they aren't making split screen an option, and while I'm still getting the game it would be way more entertaining for me if I could also play in the same room with friends or family (without an extra xbox and tv)

A completely valid reason. I'm not trying to say all people who want splitscreen are people who have significant others. Some want splitscreen because they miss the glory days of Halo LAN parties, which seem to be fading quickly, even if Halo itself is still capable of the parties, Halo has lost it's steam.
