Basically a bunch of modern day mages fight over the holy grail using reincarnations of heroes from every era such as King Arthur, Alexander the Great, Hercules, and Medea (known as servants) in a tag team battle royal. The winning team has their wish granted to them. There was an adaptation done of Fate/Stay Night like 10 years ago by studio DEEN and it's generally regarded to be a shit covered piece of trash. Ufotable however is a competent studio so there's a very good chance that it'll be a great adaption like it's predecessor that Ufotable did, Fate/Zero.
