Defending his country isn't worthwhile?
-
I didn't say that.
-
Implying it though.
-
Nope. If I were to ask someone who was considering their future career if becoming a janitor was a worthwhile choice, that doesn't mean I think cleaning isn't worthwhile.
-
While I see your point,I think what you were trying to say could have just as easily been conveyed of you said "Something else." instead of "Something worthwhile." But,if you say you were not implying that then I'm going to take your word for it.

Edited by Uncle Putin: 7/31/2014 2:41:10 PMI'm sorry but you are a -blam!-ing ass hole. That's his dream and you're telling him "-blam!- off kid, your dream isn't worthwhile." You are easily the worst mod here. It's one thing to think that his job isn't that respectable but it's another to just be an ass about it.

Whether a certain career is worthwhile to an individual is objective. Although, I would imagine that an American would see someone's position in the military as worthwhile considering that most of them risk their lives to serve America. Are all Marines good people? No. I've known plenty that were complete jerks before they joined, and they probably are still jerks. However, I wouldn't devalue their jobs because it benefits me, regardless if I like them or not. Killing other people is not ideal, but if it's us or them, I pick us. I would also be willing to take a life in defense of my own, someone I loved, or another innocent person. If you (anyone) wouldn't take a life in defense of your own or someone else's, that's a rational decision and I respect that. Off topic: why is Ninja under your name in that orange box?
-
I agree with everything you've said except for the first statement. I think it really depends on the viewpoint you take depending on whether it is objective or subjective.
-
No, sorry. On the individual level, it's objective. You might be able to argue subjectivity from a societal perspective, but I still see the points going the other way. Granted, I'm likely to be biased towards my own perspective.
Have you considered doing something worthwhile instead?
What a douche!

For real lol

hes right though.

Can't tell if serious... Or mocking lol

Wow... You have continuously lost my respect for you recently. Thought you where cool at first , but between this and What you posted to Brad Pitt, you come off as an ignorant Doushebag.
-
Am I supposed to feel guilty now, because I don't. I really don't. I also couldn't care less if I've lost your respect or anyone else's, because as far as I'm concerned, I didn't nor shouldn't have had any to begin with.

Stuff that rocks: >Treating everyone with respect. Stuff that sucks: >Disrespect based on race, creed, gender, orientation Have you even read the COC ?
