I think it'd be best to describe the warlock as an off tank. Their mobility and regen should help them keep aggro on adds and their AoE should allow them to clean them up as well. Titan has damage mitigation which is where tanks usually shine. A boss that crits like cray will still drop someone that doesn't have any mitigation. Not to mention the Titan has group buffs to shields and such which will really let the 2 work in tandem. So far hunter seems pure single target dps as well. I feel as though the game may hopefully shine when we have lvl 20's working in tandem to get the synergy between everyone I think Bungie was going for.

Thu both use healing as a main source of damage mitigation and it works well

  • Pallies were horrible tanks compared to a well geared and classed warrior .. take it from a guy who mained a pally for 2 yrs and switch to undead warrior, "oh shit" buttons and aggro control were 2 things a warrior excelled at over a pally

  • True but for life steal to work you both need energy drain active and get a kill. Also for the quick recovery to kick in you need to be out of combat. Which is why I envisioned when I was playing my Warlock gliding over the battlefield tapping multiple enemies getting their attention and hitting them with my AoE. Bouncing in and out of cover as needed never needing to much support. Whereas I see the Titan rushing to a hunter and a healer Warlock and throwing up a shield so they don't drop and keeping most of the attention from the main boss. And the Hunter jumping in and out dropping maybe extra captains and such between using their super on the main boss.
