Still nothing on if the Digital Guardian Edition will be out for Xbox One.
There is zero information for or against it.

I think the reason you guys can't find out anything on xbox live, is because it holds the expansion packs on it. You guys aren't suppose to have those expansion packs for "a year" from what I have heard sorry to say man.

Edited by Sean: 8/4/2014 9:43:42 PMThose are two separate things (still dumb that Bungie can't seem to be bothered to answer this). It is a separate group of content unrelated to the expansions that is exclusive on PS for a year. It seems more that Bungie doesn't really care about anything related to the Xbox players, at least judging by the way this is being handled. PS had an alpha, much longer beta, exclusive content (I don't consider a year to be truly "temporary"), exclusive console, even a whole exclusive version of Destiny it seems, and even Bungie's attitude seems focused on the PS. Really sick of these companies that don't keep everyone on fair ground, and it is pretty insulting even if they go the "Activision made us do it" since they said that Activision would never interfere with them when the deal was new. Companies that do this are disgusting; if the game is multiplatform then the customers should all be getting the same content and at most a timed exclusive should be for a month.
-
Ugh, why wont they tell us

Edited by Sean: 8/4/2014 4:36:49 PMI don't know, but I'm going to keep using Twitter (which I despise) and I'll even send another message to DeeJ this Friday (which is exactly 1 week after I sent the last message which is also exactly 1 week after the first message). This is incredibly annoying, and wanting an answer to something like this shouldn't take this much effort to get.

I believe it's due to the fact that we can't pre-order / pre-load digital games on Xbox One yet. I fully expect the Digital Guardian Edition to be available on on the Xbox store at release; we just can't pre-order it, which is why retailers don't have it listed. But the guy from Insomniac Games said that there will be pre-order bonuses for digital copies for Sunset Overdrive. So we can expect to have that feature with either the September or October system update. But even the Expansion Pass at retailers is only listed for Playstation as well, and of course that is not exclusive to Sony. So I expect it's the same case with the Guardian Edition and Expansion Pass, in that stores don't have codes to give out yet to redeem, since we can't pre-order digitally yet. Hope that helps!

Edited by Sean: 8/4/2014 5:48:53 AMThe only problem with that is that preordering the Digital Guardian Edition for the PS4 doesn't give the person a code now, but for when the game is released, and so they would redeem it just like any other content. If the customer were to get the code right after preordering in order to preload the game, then I would be inclined to agree with you. Also doesn't help with the complete lack of information on Bungie's part for this, and I even waited for them to release it for pre-orders instead of just going with the normal LE, so now I can't even get that.
-
Ah, ok. I didn't know they didn't give a code for the Playstation preorders. But if you go to Amazon and try to select the Expansion Pass for either Xbox, it says "Not available for selected platform." just like it does if you try selecting the Digital Guardian Edition. Which made me think it was just a simple matter of them not being able to give out codes for a pre-order. And I actually just checked Gamestop and the finally DO list the Expansion Pass available for XBox, as well as Best Buy (which they didn't before). And now, on Gamestop's site, it actually says you can pre-order a digital copy of the standard edition, saying "Pre-order: This item will be available to download on 9/09/2014, 9:00 AM CST" So yeah, who the hell knows what the deal is what the Digital Guardian Edition. But the fact that they haven't stated it is, in fact, a Playstation exclusive has me confident it isn't. But considering what going on with retailers not listing it, some actual confirmation WOULD be really nice. That said, I actually have a Limited Edition pre-ordered just in case, haha. I was really wanted the Guardian Edition too, but didn't want to risk not getting any bonuses by not pre-ordering something.
-
That digital version at an actual retailer has me feeling a bit hopeful again, so maybe they are slowly adding things in. Still sick of this silence from Bungie though, but hopefully they'll give their original player base a digital version of the Limited Edition.
-
Yeah, I was kinda pulling my hair out after they first announced all these editions and the Guardian one wasn't being listed. I figured I'd give it a week before all the retailers update their product pages. But yeah, at this point, it is a bit of "What the hell?"
-
Yeah, I tried to get that today too, had no idea bout this. What a mess. Just another way Bungie and Activision have screwed the pooch.
-
U mean Microsoft. There is a reason that Bungie left Microsoft. Many articles lately. Blame the correct company. Microsoft.
-
I'm failing to see how Microsoft is the reason Bungie can't clarify what's going on here. Keep slurping the juice though. "That's the reason they left Microsoft!" Please, keep amateur hour to yourself.

Denial. Lol. Too funny
-
Denial? Do you even know what that word means? Do you fail to grasp the English language? You should probably worry more about that freshman English class you're going to fail this year.
-
Lol way to stray off topic because you know you're wrong. Too funny
-
Hard to stay on topic when you struggle with basic language skills.
-
Again off topic. Lol. Too funny.
-
I'm not sure you have a single functioning neuron. Buh-bye.
-
I see a pattern. I'm guessing your next post will be ..... Wait for it .... Off topic. Lol. Too funny.
-
Yup, hell, I've even tried to message DeeJ then waited a week and did not have a reply, so I tried the @Bungie and @BungieHelp twitter handles, and even sent DeeJ another message -- no response. Bungie is becoming the kings of the worst customer service, even EA does much better in terms of customer support.
-
At just about every turn, they've found a way to drop a ball. Not the same Bungie I've gotten used to for 10+ years.
-
Then idk, and exclusive content is almost(keyword) always released eventually with any games....so the only other thing is it's bungie's way of making up for only ever making one game on a playstation system besides Destiny...but again, just speculation
-
The Guardian Edition gives you access to the PS exclusive armory and gear, so unless they are going to give special gear to xbox, i don't see them making a digital version for the xbox, at least not on day one
-
With it being purely digital, it would be just like the Xbox One's Ghost Edition minus the PS content. Also, several news sites say that only the PS content will be exclusive (for a year), not a full version of the game.
