Love how everybody keeps speculating this, we got less then 10% of the final product. Why is everybody under the assumption that the only other places in Old Russia we couldn't get to where blocked off by ??? Enemies. There were at least 20-30 doors an walkways that are blocked by the Darkness/Black Smoke. Because they were areas we had to walk through to complete Missons so they couldn't stick ??? Enemies there. Counted at least another 10 that had out of place objects or just straight up fancy doors beckoning your name, that were blocked. An that's just what I personally had paid attention to an came across, I mainly played PVP I don't think we even got a quarter of Old Russia , an most of this OP should not be taken as confirmed. There is an image from E3 of Venus showing 7 Missions, 2 raids so that throws this post's credibility out the window already. Look at other RPG's an open world games, you don't start out with millions of points on the map, you start with 1-4 an it grows as you play. You also spend lot of time traveling back to old locations for different quest. Once your past your preliminary trials so to speak an your in the thick of games like that, your map is so full of quests an icons sometimes you don't know what to do next. The possibilities are endless with this game being a Scifi title. An even if it's just a tad bit more then what's on the list, name something that has been this fun an thrilling in the past 3 years. Because I can't name 1, an it was just a beta.

  • That picture of Venus map you are referencing to contains 2 Strikes and 1 raid, which basically confirms my theory.

  • I agree with everything you said. But I just gotta point out that those walkways blocked by black smoke are just enemy spawn points. Sadly...

  • An how does anybody know these are enemy spawn points? Has that been confirmed by Bungie, Assuming just because they came from some of those areas at certain points in missions does not mean they are spawn points. Assumptions are all anybody has until Bungie states other wise, I try not to assume anything, I think it is one of the worst traits to have as a human. It gets our minds fixated on the picture we have painted in our heads, when in reality it's usually the complete opposite.

  • Because that's how video games work. There are other spawn locations that are similar scattered all over the game. Such as caves, and dead-end rooms that go nowhere... sometimes they have chests in them. The difference is, those caves and rooms that you can enter won't spawn enemies when standing inside, or right next to them. The doors you mentioned that are blacked out, and you can't enter them... they'll always spawn enemies. When the full game comes out, you'll see. Go do that mission where you activate the last array and after Ghost activates the dish, go stand by one of those doors... you'll have a bunch of Hive Thralls run out of them and smack you in the face for your trouble.

  • It's not an assumption when you see it right before you while playing the game. Go play Borderlands... Gearbox did the exact same thing. Skags emerge from little caves that you can't enter... bandits emerge from little shacks and buildings you can't explore. It's pretty obvious what those blocked off doorways are to anyone who has ever played a game like this before. Enemy spawn rooms. That's it. But it's okay... you keep thinking each and every doorway is going to lead you on some grand adventure. Just remember what myself and others have told you when you see those same exact enemy spawn doors in the full release.

  • Your still assuming things, yes those are in other games but this is Destiny not those other titles. You have your opinions I have mine. Does me thinking those doorways will lead to other areas harm you in anyway? Does it effect how you look at this game or how you will play ? No, so stop trying to convince me to see it your way because I won't. Everybody is entitled to there own opinions an that is mine.But you children on here assume way to much just from a tiny fraction of a game they gave us. An I say children because I have yet to encounter a mature adult that makes as many assumptions as this forum community. Lol just wait till September 9th Jr. No need to get your panties in a bunch.

  • Not mad. I understand if you interpret it that way because of my slightly aggressive way of pointing out how wrong other people are. I've found it's generally better not to sugar-coat anything. I'm just trying to inform you of how the various mechanics of a game like this work... so that you aren't as disappointed come release, after getting your hopes up. It's more of a public service thing. I'm trying to help you here. Let me help you.
