The source is very believable. Betas still have information about full game content.
Titanfall comes to mind. People extracted all the information from the beta about the fnal content and everything was true.

titanfall was an arena game not an MMO. Also the Reddit states at the bottom that this is for the Beta only and shouldn't be used as conjecture for the full game.

Destiny isn't an MMO. How many times has Bungie said this? It is an FPS with MMO elements. It is first and foremost an FPS. Why has bungie shied away from calling it an MMO? Because it's not. People will expect an enormous amount of content come release if they said it was an MMO, when in reality it's a sizeable FPS.

people refer to it as an mmo because you have to always be online and you play on the bungie servers, these elements make a very important distiction on how much information you get in your game, so when done like this and since the file size for the full game is so large even figureing out all sorts of info you still end up able to do alot more then in the same game but offline and strictly single player with added mulitiplayer. Its being called a shard world shooter and it should be called that cause this game isn't really an mmo that we know of. Also beta info only has ties into the full game and isn't the full game and should be concidered as such :)
