I think people are acting a bit entitled here regarding DLC. Video games are made by businesses that are looking to make a profit. Releasing one game for 60+ dollars and then committing to 10 years with the game without expecting people to pay extra for DLC is a poor business model. Bungie doesn't owe us anything.

  • Lol it's actually going to be 4 different destiny titles over the course of 10 years buddy, not one with continual expansions.

  • Committing to supporting a franchise is far different from committing to supporting a singular entry in that franchise. You can buy a season pass for the DLCs... it will be $30, and will include the two already announced DLCs, which will cost $20 on their own. Do you really think they're going to keep adding more DLCs that you'll get in that season pass? Or, even more illogical, do you actually think they're going to continue creating content for a game for ten years and just adding it to the game for free? This isn't an actual MMO. This game doesn't have a subscription fee. They have no obligation to add anything to the game post-launch, except for those two "Expansions" they've already announced/confirmed. You're delusional if you think they're going to support this one game for ten years... continuously adding content...

  • Yeah, you're right. This is a capitalist society. (Free market exchange whatever.) Bungie doesn't owe us anything, but we also don't owe Bungie anything. Consumers have every right to be pissed off about whatever they want. They aren't acting entitled. Bungie marketed Destiny as one thing, and now the consumers are feeling that they aren't going to recieve what they were promised, obviously they are going to react.

  • Did you honestly believe that Bungie was going to add 6 years on content to PS3/360 games?

  • I don't play old gen games so I wouldn't follow/care. They can add content to new gen without continuing with the old gen.

  • Considering how lastgen and newgen are linked, it's impossible to add content to one and not the other.

  • When you market a game as "the biggest playable area" ever and then decide to lock most of the game behind a paywall, you are going to piss people off

  • Not to mention a lot of the DLC content is already finished, such as the blocked off places that people have managed to glitch into. WHY aren't they making this content available with the whole game if it's already finished? We're pretty much paying for half the game and we'll need to pay extra for the other half for parts of the game which were already their but unaccessible from the start...
