When DeeJ said himself "We're calling them DESTINATIONS, you go to Mars, you go to the Moon, you go to Venus, you got Earth." Do we go outside the solar system? "Not so far... we reveal everything you'll explore in the first version of the game."
Where does this confirm only one explorable location for each planet?
Anyone ever notice that when you're viewing the map of old Russia there is a circle to the left with 3 smaller orb objects inside the circle that look like the Earth, and it looks like it has the rotate symbol indicating you can choose to pick a different map. Also, did anyone forget the rusted land map from the crucible? That map is NOT from Old Russia, but from the Eastern Flood Zone.

Look at the bottom it clearly says Eastern Flood Zone, Earth, confirming at least 2 different locations on Earth.
People are too quick to jump the gun.
UPDATE: Here you go, this is posted by Bungie, clearly shows locations outside Old Russia
http://www.bungie.net/en/Destiny
Go to frontier tab and view 2/3 pictures showing locations obviously not in Old Russia.

Thank you kind sir.

Thank you so much. Liked and followed.

also if play multiplayer earth map is a city. no where on earth we can go is city like that yet. I made it through level 20 area and just wraps around. so gotta be more. but we can all speculate all we want we will have to just wait and see.

Listening to the actual audio it seemed to me that Deej got confused by the guy who asked the question as he mumbled planet/location at the same time. So listening to it I think Deej was saying that there was more than one planet, not that there was only one location per planet.

We shouldn't get our hopes up. Best to stay neutral.

What the hell is this? Someone actually making some sense on this forum? GET OUT! No, but seriously, thank you for this. This seriously clears up a lot. You're the man, man.
-
Thank you
-
Hmmmmmmmmmmmm...... ok
-
That little picture you thought was a way to look through different areas on the map is just a picture of the old shuttles, they're dotted around the old Russia man, the moon also has a picture of what looks to be the pipeline connected to a building. So I suspect these are just pictures of something iconic on the map/area you're playing on
-
in one of the concept arts they show a city on earth that was under enemy control so that could be another location and bungie also said that each planet will be the size of all the halo reach maps combined and the cosmedrom is not that big.
-
Thanks man. Cause I read there will be several locations on earth alone to visit.
-
Bump this as it needs to be seen by the fools who dont think and just make multiples of the same topic.
-
Well, it seems people got disappointed over nothing.
-
Everyone that's complaining or worried or talking about cancelling pre orders needs to read this, thanks a lot man. So many conflicting stories on these forums, Bungie should clear all this us for us really

Edited by Robert11221: 7/28/2014 1:27:19 AMWhile I do hope there are multiple locations, the Rusted Lands is not proof of another zone. In an IGN video for Mars (IIRC) they said that the Mars PvP map was PvP only and Rusted Lands might be the same. Edit: See further reply for video.

Thank you for this post, this will knock some sense into people.

Edited by Emily Ratajkowski: 7/27/2014 7:56:53 PMHope! EDIT: Wait. Those three orbs I think are just designs. Those three orbs are actually part of the colony ships you see in Old Russia so it looks those orbs are just pictures reoresenting the place, like the moon has a picture of what appears to be the rail gun or whatever in Archer's Line. I'm hoping there's still more though.

I think people got the misconception that Destiny was an open world game where you could maybe go wherever you want, but really it's like a mix of Borderlands and Mass Effect. Bungie hasn't been very clear, in my opinion, about the game, because they use a lot of big words and terminology that you would only know of you've played the game. Plus they love avoiding questions in Q&A's by keeping everything a secret. Bungie has the most pointless Q&A's ever.
-
I don't understand why people are expecting multiple locations, and Eastern Flood Zone is in Old Russia (they wouldn't make a separate map that looks so similar), but I haven't heard anything about a possible "rotate" icon on the map.
-
All area are connected on each planet. There will be one choice called explore if you want to go down to the planet and look around at any location on that planet. The earth and moon in beta have a load of inaccessible areas.

IM BATMAN!!!

The more I read the more skeptical I get about the size of the game. That being said the zones it has to offer along with the multiplayer definitely justifies a $60 price tag. I guess we may have gotten ourselves hyped up. I hope to see we're wrong though.

I want to visit the united states
