Screw content, how about Bungie gets the basics right first?
No ledge grab? Reload animation that cancels when you sprint and starts from the beginning every time? That turn speed? Invisible walls everywhere?
Bungie needs to get with the program. It doesn't matter how much content you have if, at the base, your game is trash. Start by realizing that when you take a magazine out of a weapon, then do something else for a while, the magazine will not ever reappear back in the weapon. When I reload without emptying the weapon, a round stays in the chamber. Why am I manually cycling it? Does my space fighter not know how to use his own weapons?
These are amateur mistakes that companies (except Bungie) stopped making years ago. I think that anyone paying the price tag on the game isn't feeling a false sense of entitlement. They are actually entitled.

They got reloading right, but they got lock-on weapons and soldier head height all wrong. Until they fix head glitch and balance MPAA/Active radar, I'll very rarely play BF. I wouldn't even own BF4 if it wasn't given to me as a gift. I'll certainly not buy hardline, and if I get it as a gift, it's getting returned.

Picky picky! What FPS games do you like? PS: I do not consider Destiny a "true" FPS game because it is primarily PvE. I like a good campaign, but the primary purpose of any FPS game should be PvP.

If you look at most games there will be invisible walls. Also this is a beta. Not the actual finished game I don't know whether a lot of people kept up to date with info of destiny but they said that what is in the beta may not be in the actual game. The beta is for testing if it didn't cost you anything then why complain. Did you have fun during many hours of gameplay?

Reload cancel comes in handy when an enemy spots you at the beggining of a reload, ive outplayed a few people like that in Reach and H4 - all of which all lack the thngs you are complaining about. No ledge grabbing? Halo never had it neither did quake, reload cancel during sprint? Thats not a step back thats a decision bungie made. Turn spoed?! For real? up your sensitivity -blam!- sake. Invisible walls i agrre with though.

Yup, I try telling this to people all the time but they're usually too shitty in PvP to even know how to cancel a reload when someone comes at them. Point proven, thanks.

The only point he's proving is that it's a broken game mechanic. Let's not forget that you can shorten the reload animation by canceling it at the right time, effectively shortening the reload of any weapon. As soon as you see the ammo appear on your HUD, you can safely cancel it. If that's not an exploitable mechanic, I don't know what is.

Halo 2 had all sorts of button glitches , yet everyone that played halo 2 praised them If i can pull off a neat little trick like reload skippimg or cancelling that just adds new flavour to the game. You are cryimg because Destiny isnt more like titanfall .

LOL the reload complain is stupid. It's a core mechanic of games. It adds the decision of "Fight with what little ammo you have left" or "Run but if you stop to fight you're going to be screwed". It's a little tough to explain, but it needs to stay. Turn speed is fine but it possible could use some work. Invisible walls? Please. This isn't skyrim.

What I do believe is that the game mechanics allow those who do possess more skill to display it more consistently. It has less skill equalizing mechanics like motion radar and un-aimed AOE one hit kill attacks, and more ways to react to any given scenario. The cheesy methods of killing, like nuke eject, smart pistol and satchel charges, work only on the lowest level of play, but people just don't want to stop trying. TF is seemingly very casual, and that's entirely due to the player base being unable to grasp the core mechanics. You're right, TF is only multiplayer, and that's why I'm so perturbed that there are so many horrible people playing it. Why would you even buy that game if you're bad? I can't help but think that says something about the overall state of the FPS community as a whole. The skill average is going down as more bads and casuals join, thanks to games like Destiny. Topics like these, that make unsubstantiated claims and have a bunch of idiots actually agreeing with the original poster really get my blood boiling. The only thing worse than blind stupidity, is blind stupidity en masse. It really brings out the worst in me. There's no way that the OP or anyone in this topic has any idea about the amount of content that will be in the game. Sit back and take a look at destiny. You can't. It's not released yet. You can't compare the content when you don't have the content to compare. What I can say for certain is they failed in making fluid movement and reloading mechanics (like Titanfall has).

Yeah I know, But this may not be as fast moving as Titanfall (Which I don't Suck at, I always had a Positive KD and played the objective) But its still kinda fast compared to other FPS games, But what I want to see if a PVP game mode with Supers and Heavy weapons turned off, And the Special weapon ammo limited like the Heavy ammo is in the original. But most of these rumors of "One area per planet" Or something like that, Their "Sources" Can be totally wrong, And usually are, Deej didn't say that there was only 1 area per planet, And people just got that out of there, But if there is only 1 area per planet, Then that would be stupid, But they still have plenty of other things. But yes, Lots of people in the crucible are noobs, Which I don't really get because its a beta, Why does your KD matter when there is 1 gamemode and 2 maps (And 4 maps in the iron banner) And lots of people just use nooby things like shotguns %50 of the time because for some reason people think having a good KD makes you good. And the reload animations don't bug me too much because I have been gaming for a long time and got used to a new clip appearing in my gun, And I honestly don't really feel the need for Ledge grabs, But I know for sure my titan could pull one off :D And most of the time when I run into invisible walls its when I try to go out of the map, But tons of games I play have invisible walls, In fact almost every game I have ever played had invisible walls on at least one map. Anyways, I have been following destiny for a few years now, And the beta has been alot of fun, So i'm getting the game, And I hope for more than 1 area per planet. Wow! So i take it you are not buying it? The single most successful developer in history with the richest story content that is second only and MAYBE... to Blizzard? It is a Beta test for the love of Pete! Does anyone remember the fiasco with the Halo2 Beta or have we forgotten that Bunige DOES learn from its mistakes. The basics in a Beta test are not basics until the thing is actually released. Remember that toilet, Advent Rising? That epic 20 million dollar failure is called getting the Basics wrong.

Secondly, a ledge grab is almost rendered pointless when you have a double jump. Thirdly, name one game, doesn't even have to be an fps, that doesn't have invisible walls of any kind. Get over yourself, you payed five dollars for a beta and your crying cause its not perfect - this is why betas are held in the first place!

Let's say the realoding thing was bugging me as well...but I don't think a ledge grab isn't that necessary, and also unlikely since they would have to animate that stuff. But I wouldn't go so far to say these were the basics of a FPS though.

Proper reload animations aren't basic in FPS? What year is this? It's literally a game about shooting guns. Proper reload animations are the very definition of basic.
