Just think....
I thought I'd get this in early:
Just think when/if Bungie tells us officially that nothing will transfer to the retail release of Destiny, this forum will give birth to a new breed of hell-hound.
I can see it now; post after post of self-righteous drivel. Flaming little children throwing toys out of their prams.
So before the event I'd just like to say:
1) Don't like it? You shouldn't have played the Beta.
2) You shouldn't have wasted hours of your life grinding gear.
3) *stifles a laugh*
Why? Because it's a Beta. A test. A preview.(dare I say) a demo.
Stay frosty people and remember; there's a real world outside your condensation clouded windows. Step carefully through your bedroom floor covered in empty cans of energy drinks and soiled underwear. Step outside, take a breath and be cool.

1 ReplyI played a lot and i hope they will wipe it all out. Starting over and making it count. We level'd faster in the beta so i dont understand why we would be allowed to keep our level 8s. See how easy it was to get your legendaries?? Well stop crying and doing it again! Almost no games retain their beta data. Everyone knew what they were getting into. Now that there is hope( not even hope. Just silence from bungie that pol are misinterpreting) everyones going crazy about how they want to keep their stuff. This is no early access. There are things to balance and change. Wouldnt you prefer to experience earth from level 1 to 8 like it is meant to? With everything opened and no walls everywhere?

Really I was just testing the mechanics and benefits of grinding because it will be needed in the final release, but I was testing the beta just as the beta was testing us. I don't care if anything carries over, and I'd prefer it didn't. With what I know now I'd make different choices than I did here and there. Besides I don't want to be a week into the game already when it comes out.

2 RepliesAt first I was hoping for my items to carry over along with my level but I honestly couldn't care anymore, the time it took me to get those items and level will be nothing to the level I'll reach and items I'll have in the first week of playing the final release of the game, so I say -blam!- it! wipe everything! Bring on the adventure!!

2 RepliesI don't want progress to transfer. I like to grind levels and abilities and with everything frozen at 8 it was hard to get an estimate of how glimmer will be to farm. I managed to get total (rough estimate) around 30k glimmer maybe 40k total. I spent a lot of it upgrading my Cryptarch level because I wanted to see what kind of crazy stuff he would give me. Made it to level 6 (soooo close to 7 but ran out of glimmer). Got a blue cloak and a blue machine gun. Really would have loved to see a blue sniper rifle. Had I gotten a blue sniper I might change my tune on wanting things to carry over. Lol.
