After taking a minute to scroll through some of these threads, I have found that so many are giving up on the game. Some even going as far to cancel their preorders. I ask, why? The beta was great! And to think that bungie (the ones who brought us Halo) are going to let us down when the full title releases is ignorant to say the least. If anything the beta has me excited for what the full game has to offer. I haven't lost my faith in bungie, does anyone else out there still believe?

Agree... I would freaked buy PS4 console for this game alone. But I do think that Bungie need to look into the story or rather how I as a character fit into it. It is somewhat thin at the moment. I've been thinking about the beginning and maybe it'll be told to you after a while but as it stands now there's to many questions in the air. One good example is when the little cute robot wakes you up and tells you that you've been dead for a long time. Now if everyone was a robot that would make sense but if your a human how does that work out? Dead for a long time and now you scan me to life? And why am I special? if everyone chose the awoken race then that would somewhat make more sense... What happened to you before that? Since this is a massive multiplayer campaign game they need to look at small things to make you feel important cause right now it feels like your just a pebble with an untold story with no special importance. Again this is just BETA but can only judge on what I've seen and experienced so far. Other than the story me and my friends are loving it.

I don't understand why people are canceling. Honestly this game has ruined every other game for me. I can't wait to get back on it. Destiny has most likely become my next 10 years of gaming.

30 frames per second kinda ruined the game for me as far as PvP goes. I play SWTOR so I don't expect Destiny to come anywhere near that game as far as story and content go, I just wanted a shooter that looks as nice as CoD and Titanfall (they run at 60 fps). The game was fun, I love to explore and the co-op is very addicting....just didn't blow me away cause I was left wondering how epic the game could have been if it ran at 60.

I believe in Bungie this game is going to be fantastic!
-
Hell yes. My social life will suffer for this game.
-
You know I've seen so many people compare this to halo And I'm not talking about reach People are comparing it to halo 4 A game not even made by bungie!!!
-
everybody should stop complaining about this game and sit back enjoy the full game when it comes out, all you have to do is BO-leive
-
I haven't lost hope yet, I look back to halo reach and remember the awesome experience it gave, till this day halo reach is one of my favorite games of all time. REMEMBER REACH!!!
-
I believe, the story seems very captivating so I have faith in this game. As long as its story is great I will be happy.
-
As long as it has a good story, i'm ok with it for now. I mean, the game is not exactly cheap, and i would prefer to know if i'm buying a complete stand-alone experience, or if i'm getting into a DLC hell scam. Sadly, since Bungie has not said oficially how many actual content we will get on release, i can't tell for sure if it is worth the price, or not.

I believe. Trying to find a Ghost Edition that isn't going to cost more than my console.
-
I believe. This game exceeded my expectations and I will be playing the crap out of it come September 9th.
-
I'm pretty sure 99.99% still believe. If they don't, then they're liars.
-
I'm still a believer as I had such a good time with my fellow Guardians but like so many others I was kicked in the teeth a bit when I first started exploring and found many "Turn back" countdown timers as well as scoping with my Rifle at the distant shores to see cut and paste lanscapes that you knew you couldn't get to. What I couldn't understand as well is that some areas (Forgotten Shore) you could jump on the cliff edges out to the Sea (near the Loot chest by the broken bridge) and quite clearly see the old foundations for the bridge withion jumping distance. Guess what happened when I tried to make the easy jump? 10 secs to Turn Back!! Why tease us like that?! It may not have gone anywhere interesting but at least make us feel that we could go if we wanted too or even better remove the ledges that have invisible walls.

This beta is the most excited I've been for a game in years. I'll be there at launch!

Edited by TwigTwig: 7/28/2014 12:06:06 PMI'm not giving up or cancelling my pre order. That's not to say I'm not disappointed with the 'apparent' size of the full game. If the rumours are true then we've completed 1/4 of the story and it was rather forgettable. But no, I'm not giving up. I'll wait for full game to decide.

Cause the game was being severely overhyped, they were dissapointed and thought the beta was gonna be the whole game and think the areas are small cause you cant go to certain places cause the cap was 8 are mad their stuff doesnt transfer over. im still getting this game.

The whiny few always come to the forum

I upgraded to the limited edition. :-)
-
I cancelled my preorder from an overseas online retailer to a local one to avoid a postage wait; also changed to the limited edition while I was at it; that was after playing the alpha 1 day.
-
Many of the players who love games never see a forum, they just enjoy it. Tends always to be complainers who head straight to forums to bash a game, so I take no notice play the game and judge myself

I thought the beta was great, It wasn't just a beta it gave us an experience of the full game but a gaming experience in it's own right, with a very well thought out plan in terms of delivery, The special events, and rounding it off with access to the moon on the last day. I am excited for Destiny, its the first game in years that I have truly enjoyed so much so I feel the need to sign up to it's affiliate forum. Destiny will be about for 10 years so whether you like it or not face the fact that it's going to be a household name and will stick around for a while. The exploration side of things and the competitive gameplay are both 10 out of 10 for me the only criticism I would press on really is Dedicated servers. I'm not a fanboy, I'm not even a hardcore gamer, but when I play a game I expect to be entertained. Thanks Bungie.

I had fun with the beta and am very much looking forward to play the full game! If people want to cancel their pe-order, then that's up to them. Around €60-$60 (more for specials) is quite a lot of money for many people. For me personally the beta was more than I expected it to be, but hey, I never play beta's. I even was surprised when I got a beta code when I ordered the PS4 bundle. What I do find very strange, is that people cancel pre-orders based on speculation on this forum. You can at least wait 'till a later stadium, when things you are disappointed about are confirmed.

I believe but you can pick a lot of reasons as to why so many are now disgruntled. 1. Upset Xbox 360 & Xbox One players 2. Characters being wiped 3. Balancing issues 4. The rumor of one zone per planet 5. It's not what they expected
-
The negative voices drown out the good, think of it this way: If something goes as planned you probably don't comment on it, if it does not then you do.

There is actually an in game quote I quite like about belief, I will now share it. "Belief is a weapon, but so is an arc rifle"
