Size of the game (with source)

All right guys, I have been waiting to post this, but last night DeeJ confirmed, that there will be 1 explorable location per planet and this basically also confirmed, that the following source is realible: http://destinydb.info/activities (edit: the creator of the website asked me to write that the info is from 30.June) [u][b]I browsed this website a lot and realized how endgame content is going to work. To sum it up:[/b][/u] [b]Before you read on: this may or may not be how the final product is going to look like. It is just a speculation based on the website mentioned above. I do not want to convince you about anything, but I'm sure if you browse that site you will come to a similar conclusion. Beware, this may contain spoilers!!! [/b] - 4 explorable locations (Earth, Moon, Mars, Venus) - 6 strikes (1 Earth, 1 Moon, 2 Mars, 2 Venus. However one of the Mars strike is PS exclusive.) - 1 raid (The Vault of Glass) - 16 pvp maps It's already been told, that we are going to hit lvl 20 quickly. So what happens after this? We are going to have the possibility to run a random strike (accessible from the orbit) on a higher level: -lvl18 -lvl20 -lvl22 -lvl24 For example the Devil's Lair is going to be there on those difficulties. But how can you achieve a level over 20? It is well documented, that you can get to lvl 20 by collecting XP. In order to gain additional levels, you need to obtain gear with [b]"light stat" [/b] . Light gives you additional level. So, what you are going to do, when you hit 20? You will go to lvl 20 strikes to get gear with light. I suspect, that the strikes and rewards will be scaled, so that you have to spend a lot of time on a level in order to get access to the next one. What happens, when you hit lvl 24 and finished farming all the high level strikes? [b]You go to weekly strikes[/b] This means, that every week there is going to be a strike on an even higher level. -lvl24 -lvl26 -lvl28 For example Devil's Lair is going to be this strike from 09.sept. - 16.sept. And so on. This mode is called: [b]Nightfall[/b] After you cleared all the weekly strikes you go to the Vault of Glass. It will be on lvl27, lvl31 and lvl31. EDIT_1: I also found something called "Activity Power" associated to every activity on that website. I think it's the true scale of difficulty of each activity. For example: lvl 8 - Devil's Lair = Activity Power 0,37 lvl 20 - Devil's Lair = Activity Power 8 lvl 24 - Devil's Lair = Activity Power 53 lvl 28 - Devil's Lair = Activity Power 98 lvl 31 - Vault of Glass = Activity Power 132 This will take time Guardians!     Not surprised they focused the most on something I'm going to play the least, PVP. Well at least there is enough strikes for me to play. The Vault of Glass better be really hard for there to only be one . Also, what happen to the Reef, or what is going on with Jupiter and Saturn? It's a shame that Bungie hyped this up to be a really huge social game if all this is real. I think Destiny is going to have some secret areas as they showed off other ones. At least they put a lot of content in to the game so there will be always something to do

    • What about the Reef as an explorable location? They've also shown concept art of a Human built settlement on Europa. What if there is more than one area to explore on each planet/moon? One of the multiplayer maps is set in The Twilight Gap, which is on Earth and looks to be in the mountains: like the Alps or the Rockies. Would that not mean that there are more than six strikes? Since each area looks to have a strike it is reasonable to assume this.

      • I'm guessing they are going the MMO route where they start off small and get bigger with time. I'm guessing all who are mad never played an MMO. Updates will keep this going hopefully there will be more places, planets (I saw Jupiter in Glimmer), strikes and raids in the future. I hope to see what bungie does to make this a 10 year game.

          As I see, a lot of you stopped reading at the "4 explorable locations" line. OMG this game will be huge! 6 strikes on at least 8 difficties each, plus a Raid on 3 difficulties. I am guessing, that the world first Vault of Glass clearing is going to be in November. And we are not talking about casual clans... Exploration and Story is for leveling, the true endgame is Strikes and Raids. And we are going to get more in DLCs.

              • In terms of end game pve this is exactly what I was hoping to see. My only other hope is that each of the 4 explorable zones will get a lv 20 version.

              • Theres lots to do, like exploring each planet and moon. There won't be any walls to prevent us from devouring every secret Bungie is trying to hide. Doing the raids aren't as easy as you think. ( I hope) Leveling has been made faster in the beta, so you probably won't reach level 8 in two hours. I though we would be going to Mercury, Jupiter's moon, Saturn's moon, and Neptune's moon. Also theres DLCs. Raid armor is not the only cool thing to look forward too. Theres vanguard armor, faction armor. An entire faction quest line. Plus the random events Bungie has planned, for example the Iron Banner, they could make something similar. Theres just so much to do. This is only the beta to give you a sample.

                • THEY ARE PROBABLY JUST FEEDING US BULLSHIT. This game will be huge, Deej is known to be a conniving jerk. There will be multiple locations on every planet/moon, Europa will also be there. AND HE WAS AMBIGUOUS ABOUT PLANETS OUTSIDE OF THE SOLAR SYSTEM. They just want to keep it all a surprise, WHICH IS PERFECT. Pardon the shouting.

                    Just was looking weapon breakdown is ridiculous. Primary: 161 primary weapons (after you remove engrams) 35 are common 20 are uncommon 56 are rare 38 legendary And only 12 are exotic! This is pretty much a load of crap.. Secondary: 112 after you remove engrams 23 common 15 uncommon 42 rare 27 legendary Only 5 exotic Heavy weapons: 14 common after engrams removed. 10 uncommon 29 rare 18 legendary Only 4 exotic I find this breakdown outrageous. You could fit every single exotic weapon in your vault! It should not be like this!

                      That website isn't complete then, or you forgot to put the reef as a location. Also dlc will increase the size of the game. Those weekly strikes are cool though! Also, did you hear him say anything about gear carrying over? Some people say he said something about that.

                              • From the start I assumed one location per planet so not a big deal, still plenty to do even before DLC. I must have thrown a ton of hours into Old Russia, with more to see there in full retail.

                                Let's not forget the story either, which if what the one mission on the moon showed us, plus all the areas people have glitches into, this will still be epic. Also, I think it's worth noting that deej specifically said "in the first version of the game." To put this into perspective, destiny is an online world stored mostly within bungie's own servers, because of this they can create and release a "new version" right under our noses without so much as a patch update, let alone utilizing a dlc. Take them unlocking and locking the moon for example, it didn't require any download on our end, it just happened. In other words, bungie can make changes to our game version without us even being aware of it. Deej loves his clever wordplay after all. I could be wrong of course, but either way, I know bungie will make sure we love this game. Don't worry so much guys! 😊
