In the latest weekly update, we are told the Inteceptor is to be expecting some fairly major adjustments, with DeeJ telling us it:
won’t be the menace that’s been chasing you into bases
The initial ideas for the nerfs these chunky vehicles of destruction are as follows:
- Lower rate of fire.
- Larger delay between shots.
- Reduced rocket blast radius.
- Shrinking the "arming shape" of the shots.
- Only 2 each map, so teams can "fight over" them.
Do you believe these nerfs are a good idea? Which do you agree/disagree with?
Is the relatively slow speed and large, broad shape enough to weigh this battle mount down, or does it need a few fixes?

I always wreck with it. While it's immensely fun for me, I understand that in the right hands you are incredibly difficult to stop. You permanently oneshot everybody, you're faster than any Guardians on foot, you have great splatter potential, your shots are insanely accurate from long range, you have very rapid fire, and you can cap territories while still in the interceptor. To kill it you either need a Super (which a pilot can avoid by simply moving backwards and shooting you), a rocket (again, just keep distance), or a sniper (again, just keep moving). It's incredibly easy for a smart Interceptor Pilot to stay alive. It's definitely overpowered. I would have been fine either way- with or without a nerf. But as an Interceptor user myself, I can safely say I understand how powerful it really was.
