I feel that right now when you take down the last boss at the end of a story mission, it's slightly anticlimactic. You spend all this time epically battling this huge boss to just wait around for the few seconds to get to the stat screen.
I know that the next screen gives you loot but it's so much better to watch the boss go down and release your loot! Or even if there is a chest afterwords similar to skyrims system.
It's small but it makes the boss fights seem a little bit more in depth. It also gives you something to look forward to instead of idly standing around for the mission to end.
Please tell me what you all think! Also please excuse any spelling and/or grammatical errors, I'm not used to typing on my phone this way XD

I have agreed to every thread like this since the beta. So I've been trying to think of the reasons why Bungie decided to do this... Only thing I can think of is that as the game progresses the boss missions and strikes will get crazier and crazier. As the difficulty increases I think that Bungie is trying to give us a window to...BREATH. Rather than having to run around like a crazy person picking up loot after the fight of our lives. Again I agree with the OP but this is the only reasoning I can think of...

Definitely
-
Lootsplosion! Even if it's mostly ammo lol
-
I totally agree me and my friends start swearing like sailors when we don't find loot on the Devil walker or Sepiks prime
-
Agreed. +2 Thumbs Up

-
Omfg yes
-
I could be mistaken but I think chests appear when the mission "end timer" shows up. I found 3 that way with the timer counting down.
-
I never got any boss drops
-
Boss loot drops should drop something and change in value if you have less people in your fireteam. Ive taken down several "BOSSES" by my self just to end up with nothing. Not even ammo. I've read many post about wanting bosses to drop loot but I think it also should change in value. Less people the harder it would be so we should get better rewards. I'm not saying super rare loot just more of a chance for better loot.

To be honest the drops and the loots suck because 1# there is hardly any loot at all even when you kill a boss 2#the guns and all look and sound the same!! Makes it very stale to find a new gun which is a much higher level which just feels likes a lower level one hope they resolve this before the release...
-
I think they did this so that people don't miss the loot, a workaround could be if someone forgets or doesn't grab the loot THEN it'll give it to them in the stat screen, but otherwise you can pick it up.
-
Agree. I was thinking the same yesterday when I beat that slide thing.
-
I definitly agree here
-
Yeah I was thinking the same thing when I beat a devil walker. And again when I beat sepiks prime. And more devil walkers
-
Yeah you should get at least an engram or something. It almost feels like a waste of time. But even with all these agreements they prob wont listen to what the people want.
-
This +1000, seems any time I kill a named "boss" Like that spider tank looking thing it doesn't drop anything, would be nice to at least see 1 green or better drop from mobs such as this. Like you stated, there's no depth at the moment and nothing to look forward to when dispatching miniboss/boss monsters.
-
Agreed.
-
Totally agree. Been playing RPGs fpr years and nothing quite beats the feeling of opening a treasure chest not knowing what you're going to find...especially after an epic boss fight.
-
Edited by THECAPNSBACK: 7/27/2014 1:06:14 AMYeah, I agree. The way it is now though keeps one person from taking everything.
-
I agree 1000%. The feeling of a boss dropping loot is way more satisfying than having it ended to you at a post-fight screen. The actual system makes absolutely no sense at all. Plus we need clear indicators as where the loot is! It's so confusing. I would like icons or something with the color of it's rarity associate to it. So simple, yet so effecient.
-
I totally agree with this. More loot on the boss!
-
I think this feature should be added in because j personally hate just standing there with nothin waiting for the mission the end and go to orbit
-
/need? /greed? Lol
-
I am inclined to agree. Like I wouldn't even care if it was just ammo or something you can use to trade in but it feels like you accomplished nothing until the stat screen then if you do get something it feels flat
