I was thinking about ways to spruce up the exploration and suddenly came up with wildlife! Don't know if it's asked about yet.

Bring in rabbits, foxes, packs of wolves, moose, anything really. Herbivores or carnivores are good, just bring them in
-
I wouldn't mind being able to atleast shoot the birds
-
That would be so cool if they brought animals over
-
Do we get to kill them?
-
Monster hunter scenery is great because there are herbivores wandering around/eating in far away areas. It's a sweet addition to the otherwise plain/standstill majority of untouchable scenery in games. I'd like to see something like that in Destiny.

Something a Hunter could do in the time they aren't hunting down the darkness, something more...... Peaceful. :)
-
Yeah, some native enemies would be good.

Edited by FromThe1st2Now: 7/27/2014 5:17:40 PMOk everyone is right about the wild life but don't you think that the fallen and hive and any other enemies might have there own wildlife that they may have brought with them to help in are demise like so many games and movies never do. it would be nice to start seeing that
-
Well, I think the fallen who took over the earth did not only just kill all the humans. They probably got rid of all the animals too, being the 'darkness' and all.
-
Hmmmmm it would be funny to encounter a moon bunny on crucible...

gotta agree sir and or madam (i like to cover my bases) the exploration is rather bland and enemy re spawn is slow so you tend to have empty spaces and it feels kinda lonely....if there was some wildlife some little birds here there maybe like a cute mutant chub chubs or something anything is better then the emptiness that slowly eats away at your sanity to the point where you stalk a player and force him to dance for your amusement till the next spawns and laugh a maniacal laugh as your schizophrenia imbues you with ungodly delusions and.....what was i doing again?
-
Birds & butterflies. What more could you want?
-
Yes I agree "Steven make it a thing".... He's working on it
-
Would be great to have interactive collectibles like audio logs, wildlife I can see where it might not make sense for earth could be cool on other worlds
-
Wild life is another fab idea. Another piece in the game to look at and complete the scenery
-
Just these blackbirds ain't cuttin' it.

I'll be honest with you, I'd like to see some exotic wildlife as well.... I mean, crows are alright and all.. but seriously? Honestly besides animals out and about in the wilderness, I'd like to be able to visit 'The last city' and driving around, maybe even have my own "place"... Just more to give the game a sense of living atmosphere.
-
...and even if there WAS wildlife. You or someone else would just shoot it and kill it anyway.
-
Wildlife would be awesome. Resurrect the Space Squirrel!
-
Wildlife is all extinct.
-
I have to agree to this. I would love to be able to slaughter animals and skin them for meat and hide to use as materials. Also FU peta....
-
I guess you didnt realize that the main part of the story is that the darkness destroyed most human natural life.. That would -blam!- up the story line tbh

There might be, this is a Beta and only let you get so far. There are more thing to uncover when you play the full game but honestly in the setting you are traversing with all those trigger happy aliens there wouldn't be much wildlife out in the Siberian Tundra left alive. Most are probably kept in safety within the city for protection after taking out the Darkness and reclaiming the planet. Anyway considering Ghosts have the ability to reanimate dead, they can probably use that on wild life as well. Would be interesting to come across a mutated animal or a few hundred because of the Hive. Anything is possible at this point, but the normal looking crows may say otherwise.

You don't see wildlife in Old Russia because it's a desolate wasteland, but if you notice in the Crucible when you're playing on Venus there are strange little creatures flying about like birds, and larger ones up in the sky. I'm not sure about ground wildlife, but there is some variety of fauna in the game so far.

I would think most if not all were killed off when the darkness came
