The current graphics setup is making me sick, can we have an option to turn off motion blur?

Hi, this isn't meant to flame the game or hurt anyone's feelings or anything. I come from a strong PC background and tend to dislike FPS games. I loved Halo though for the sci-fi background and focus on story. So I'm really looking forward to Destiny. Having said that, this game makes me feel sick to my stomach while playing it. Which is a shame because so far, its co-op is pretty good.I also played a lot of Warframe (on ps4 200+ hours and 450+ hours on PC), at first that game made me sick, but shutting off motion blur made a world of difference. I'm a programmer and I do a bit of OpenGl, I imagine this can't be a hard setting to add. Probably just a flag you need to set in the rendering pipeline. Especially since Warframe, a free game has this option. So since this is a Beta, this is my humble request for such a feature. Maybe I can play enough that I get used to it, but so far it's making me sick and giving me headaches. My wife can't even watch me play for 2 minutes, as it makes her sick as well. To all the married men out there, I"m sure you can feel my pain. Good game so far. Thanks Bungie, Liandri Edit: added feedback tag as requested, thanks Malismo.

  • Add the #feedback tag, it is where only players can post and likely Bungie's first stop to see what people found in the beta regarding bugs, tips etc.

  • I was a little concerned about this, as it's hard to tell from Youtube videos etc. Can anyone confirm if the motion blur is on a Reach type scale?

    • Remember this isn't a PC game there is a high chance you will never see the "turn off motion blur" in destiny

      • Yes, it's difficult for my eyes to focus on a game with motion blur so I can't play for prolonged periods of time. Eyes already blur when tracking fast movement anyway, so motion blur in a game isn't the best use of processing power imo.

      • I have also felt sick and had headaches playing for a short time. My wife also said she felt sick while I was playing. Hope there is a fix for it.

      • This needs a bump. The motion blur is over the top. After 2 hours or so it gives me a headache. I can play cod, bf & titanfall for hours on hours and not get a headache. They also need to fix the frame pacing issue and add colorblind support. Good post. Why do they have so much motion blur ? I'm not a programmer but I've been under the impression it's used to hide issues.
