Sorry if this is a past topic. I could not find one.

Pretty sure it will be your PSN name.
-
Dear god I hope it's my PSN name... New question, can you change your bungie.net name?
-
DeeJ not only said that the player would be using his Bungie.net name but he also reinforced that idea by saying they want people to find you using your forum name. Maybe he mispoke, but twice doesnt seem likely.
-
Think about it this way, mate. To play Destiny, you have to have a PSN or an Xbox Live account. To play Destiny, you don't need to have a Bungie.net account.
-
It will be your PSN or Live tag that will be displayed.
-
PSN username, if you want to make it custom then you will have to change your PSN name.
-
Unless the game has an option to change your character name, then it will always be your PSN/XBL name. Most games where you can make a name for your character still use the PSN/XBL name.

Edited by Sam12Ash: 7/6/2014 12:08:55 AMIf you don't like your PSN or Xbox name you should have to live with the poor decision. Who knew "XXcyb3rkid69XX" would come back to haunt you.
-
Username/gamertag, based on the pre-alpha and alpha.
-
Alpha didn't require you to sign into your bungie account. I doubt beta will. Therefore if you don't sign in it doesn't pull up your name so you as using the psn ID/ Xbox gamertag you have.
-
PSN username.

Edited by Skeloton: 7/5/2014 11:10:39 PMIts gonna be your PSN, I mean seriously you have to log into the PSN or XBL to play online at the very least right? So why would it not use your GT or PSN? Deej's comment is most likely a cock up on his behalf, I sure he meant if you PSN/GT was F12 then your name will be F12.
-
You can't use spaces for PSN names so it's not possible to use your bnet name. My PSN is Kilo_Juliett because you can't use spaces. You can use spaces for XBL though but not dashes or underscores. I think it's the same for bnet.
-
Bungie network ID.
-
It would work so much easier for BUNGIE and their own APP to use your bungie username
-
That's what deej said in the weekly update, it will be your bungie username
-
Using our PSN names will kill the immersion factor, I made my PSN name years ago and it wasn't meant to be used as character name. Bungie should let us name our character or Sony should let us change our PSN ID.
-
The alpha used PSN so I'm guessing beta and game will
-
Whatever online service you use.

The latest weekly update will give an informed answer.

Psn name
