The car horns screech as a mass of civilians horde themselves toward the cosmodome, walls, hoping that they could get a military ship to take them somewhere safer. It was my job as Exo E-5670, or Eli as my C.O. called me, to contain the mass while my comrades tried to organize the civies. Mothers and children pleaded with me to help them cut through but all I ever said to them was to wait and that everything would be fine as long as they followed protocol, even as my radio headset picked up that the fallen had broken through our defensive lines in Russia, that Moscow had fallen. An old man with a car pulled over to the side of the line called out to the crowd "we can take the walls! there's only a handful of the guards, join me comrades!" and with that he opened a truck full of weapons, mostly pistols and hunting rifles, but enough to start a riot for sure. I ran to the scene as a few people started to pick up the guns, looking nervously at one another for the coming chaos. "Drop the weapons, sir, you are under arrest for inciting treason, the rest of you get back in line." I said to the group. The old man spat at me. "You're a Titan huh, defender of the people? Well where were you in New York where my daughter was! Where were you when the fallen burned our homes and now you make us sit out here while the fallen come to kill us! You won't defend us so we'll defend ourselves! We'l..." -BANG- I shot him. Right in the head. I barked orders at the civies to get back in line as silence fell and people looked over at the origin of the gunshot. The line was orderly for a good ten minutes until the fallen ships came through. I held the line as my comrades took as many civies out on the evac ships.I didn't think of survival, I only tried to calculate how many lives I saved at the cost of the old man's and my own. I realized that the trade wasn't worth it.Upon my realization, a fallen captain ran a sword through my chest and I made one last request to the sky as I fell to the ground "Let me fix this."

  • Nice, I'm really glad to see so many committed guardians out there. The clan I created also has a bit of Destiny lore to kind of create a reason for the members to stay connected. Thanks alot for this stuff guys, it was a good read.

Brael Aberion was a human born from a middle class family on earth during the last years of the golden age. With time he became one of the renown scholars that studied the Traveler. Then the Darkness came. As threats of destruction arrived from all over the solar system, Brael quickly enlisted himself in the newly formed army created to retaliate against the forces of darkness, ready to use the power that he had amassed during his years of studying the Traveler. His first mission was set on one of the moons of Saturn, where he and another 500 soldiers were traveling via a titan class ship called "Reckoning". They were tasked with stopping a Fallen invasion, but a mysterious malfunction on the engine, left them stranded on one of Saturn's rings where they were boarded and slaughtered by Fallen forces. Only Brael survived. For 3 years held his own against his enemies in the pitch black corridors of the enormous ship, fighting the need to commit suicide and reunite with his long gone comrades until one day he managed to highjack one of their ships, but not before being badly injured. He died shortly after finally returning to Earth. That is... until his Ghost found him. Now, with new found life and purpose, Brael is decided to take revenge on the Fallen and all the forces of Darkness, take back what they stole from humanity and become legend. As a new Guardian, Brael admires his new comrades, specially the Titans, whom he holds in high regard as he identifies with their struggle defending the wall. Although his own deeds are not as well known by his pears, rumor has it that the Fallen are still searching for the Warlock that killed so many of their own in the darkness of an abandoned ship hundreds of years ago. This mysterious and deadly figure is known by them as "The Void Walker"

  • I don’t know when the last time I saw grass outside of the tower was. I don’t even suppose I will, unless our squad is sent out to Venus. The last vestige of hope I have left lies with Quentin, what a fine man indeed. Very spiritual, no doubt about that, probably what makes him such a fine Warlock. I never see him out and about without some dusty old tome, or some handbook by his side, he is always taking notes in that god awful notebook of his as well. The amount of times I have had to turn back and face off another ten or so grunts so Quentin can get that book is just absurd. “You know we’re not leaving here without losing another man, right?” That was Sigmund, always the cynic. Sigmund was our hard-core support unit. I have never seen someone shoot so well, other than several other hunters out there; but we don’t talk about them. His helmet was in his hands, and he seemed entranced by the flickering UI dancing in the subtle light of Earth. Quentin grunted in response, he also seemed to be enraptured by something, although what it was, I’m not sure. Probably some warlock trickery, hopefully, the idea of opposites attracting is true, because I’m certain Sigmund and Quentin were opposite sides of the spectrum. I didn’t say anything. Things were still moving slowly for me; everything seemed to be paced out, details seemed to jump out at me, but I was a state. My brother; Myles McLant was the captain of his own fire team. ‘Squad 403 at your service’; he always said. What utter crap that turned out to be. I don’t know how many men’s heads I have seen explode into a shower of blood and gore, but family just has that edge to it, that makes things a little more personal. So here we were, sat against the rusting remains of an old warplane, waiting for a flood of Hive beasts or Fallen to scourge through this place. I faced death many times before, but never with open arms. I don’t plan on starting today.

  • It was another windy night, just like the night before. Out here in the wild the most predictable thing is the wind. My actions here are tied with humanity's fate, still I cannot help but feel insignificant when there are so many others on my same journey, just different paths. I often wonder whether or not my campaign against the darkness has even made a dent in the war. I guess only time will tell, and I may not be here when it does.

  • Static. That's what I've been hearing for the last hour and a half. No word from the Tower. Me, Jackson, and Mikey all have the same static when we try to reach the Tower. Showing that our Long Range Communications are being jammed by something. "Hey Blades!!" "Jackson! Any word from other Guardians?" Jackson, Titan. Rather short as well. but I wouldn't want to mess with him. "Ya, they're having the same L.R issues as us. Except one group. They have a portable Radio and have a patchy connection to the Tower. What do you want me to tell them?" Didn't see this coming. well, just roll with it. "Tell all of them except, what was this groups name?" "Lightning Squad sir." That, was Mikey. the Support, Warlock. also our tech guy. "Alright, tell them to rendezvous with Lightning Group." "Squad." "Shutup."
Still planning on working on it. so, ya. work in progress.
