For comparison a fighter pilot in a roll will feel an acceleration of about 9 gs.

Where as football games can routinely produce hits of around 100gs. Yes, rugby players often take more punishment/injuries. That's because the nature of their sport at least makes it possible to play without equipment.

100gs. So somebody can get killed at 10gs or 20 and you are saying American football players can do 10x or 5x that? Bullshit.

Edited by BannedPiranha: 7/1/2014 8:44:46 PMhttp://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2010/06/100624092526.htm Well it generally takes about 95-100 g's to get a concussion so either the people that did those calculations for rugby and your calculation for what it takes to kill someone(depends on the placement, doesn't take much to break a neck) cantevenmath or they were using a different value for g which means either they cantevenphysics or someone is using different units. It also depends on the type of hit.
