I'd buy Dark Souls because it seems challenging. But I'm hesitant because it seems like a rage-inducing death-streak simulator.

Challenging, sure - but certainly not nigh on impossible like I'd thought. You will die at times of course, but learn from those times and you'll come out fine!

The sense of accomplishment acquired by victory achieved through intensive trial and error. When the price is lower I may buy it.
