• Obviously not. You act as if there's no such thing as a 10 or a lunch break. Other times things get slow and no one gives a shit what you do while you're waiting for more work to come in since you've already got everything else done. I'm going to take a wild guess and say that you've never had a job before.

 • He's probably on break, or is a slacker, jackass.

 • Well we know that's a load of bollocks considering the E3 settings run just as well and even better in some cases than the default ones. So it's clear that just as much work ( if not more) went in to optimizing the E3 settings. This is starting to smell more and more like paid parity.

 •
This is starting to smell more and more like paid parity.
Ubisoft were already bribed by Nvidia so the game would run better on their cards than AMD's cards, so that doesn't really add up.

 • I'm talking more like Sony needing Watchdogs to be on par with the PC so that they could fulfill their promise that it would be best on PS4. They dumped a lot of advertising money into that. MS doesn't fit the bill because they had no such advertising campaigns or promises to fulfill regarding the game. Plus the game runs on Windows so they'd essentially be sabotaging themselves. NVIDIA doesn't fit the bill because they got burned by this as well, and while their cards run it a little better iirc it doesn't help them to make the game look and play significantly worse than what their cards are capable of. Then there's Ubisoft being incompetent. While they've shown many times in the past that they're willing to throw out lazy PC ports they've also thrown out a lot of good ones too. Plus with the time and effort that it looks like went in to making the E3 settings playable (even to the point where it plays better than the downgraded version on some configurations) its likely that this hack job was ordered from the top. Sorry, but Sony really is the prime suspect in this and it wouldn't exactly be out of character for them either. I'm not saying they did it though so calm your potential booty blaster. We'll likely never find out what really happened unless we get some Snowden style leaks.

They dumped a lot of advertising money into that.
It has been said multiple times that PC would be the lead platform for Watch Dogs. Whoever was in charge of marketing did a bad job.
I'm not saying they did it though so calm your potential booty blaster.
I'm not saying they didn't. I'm saying that this is ultimately Ubisoft being the lazy -blam!-s that they are more than anything. If it is because of Sony, then shame on them for being shady and gimping the PC version. Honestly, some of the stuff from this "mod" isn't very pleasant, like the huge amount of blur on objects that are relatively close to you. SweetFX makes WD look so much better though.
