AMD is Far, far more expensive
very wrong.
AMD have the best bang-for-your-buck cards. Nvidia cards are the powerhouse cards, but it'll cost you.

well IIRC for the latest R9 series OC ready sapphire cards with atleast 4GB of GDDR5 memory, it costs more than a comperable EVGA GTX Titan.
-
well, yeah, but a majority of the other amd cards are more budget-friendly.
-
do Nvidia cards require any more cooling besides the fans they come covered in?
-
not that i'm aware of. i thought they cleaned up the cooling issues that were a problem in the 4xx and 5xx cards.
-
no idea. BTW, if you get a gfx card installed, it's still modular if you want to upgrade it to a new model later, right?
-
correct. assuming you have enough PSU power to run it.
-
is a 1000W overkill if it's high quality? how do you calculate how much wattage you need.
-
here is a PSU calculator but 1000 will be plenty for the next few generations of GPUs. it doesn't hurt to have MORE power. it's only bad to have not enough.
-
ever hear of any problems with the EVGA P2? i've heard that it possibly can be tall enough to interfere with sound and graphics cards in midtower cases?
