Do you know why we would need to link our Bungie account? Here's my reason for asking:
I will be playing the Beta on my Xbox One. But, later on, I will be picking up a PS4 for Destiny. I plan to switch my preorder after the Beta. If I have to link my account to the Xbox Beta, do I miss out on stuff in the final game on the PS4? I'm not sure if you can answer, but any help would be appreciated.

It's for alpha.bungie.net Enjoy :)

Just go to game stop put 5$ down on the game get your code make a psn account put code in then either get destiny as you get your ps4 or cancel your pre order and get your money back. Either way you have all the pre order stuff by this point when you finally do log on a ps4

Bro I already preordered Destiny. It was been since I first could. All I have to do is switch my console after the Beta. Easy and easy.

I believe that you need to use your B.net account because your guardian and all your stuff are stored server side. If you change consoles you should be able to take your guardians and gear with you to the new console.

The Beta isn't early access. Anything and everything you obtain in the beta will be erased on launch day.
-
That I know, but without question you will need to link your Bungie account in the Beta and the Final game. So I was asking if knew anything about that because of the special content you receive from participating in the Beta.

You don't receive any special content from playing in the beta. It's not a demo, remember. I don't think you need to link to a Bungie.net account either to play the launch edition of Destiny. You certainly need to to play the beta, though. I have this same problem.

I was under the impression that we would be receiving something. I hope you are right. Thanks for help.

Yeah, lots of people were. #Destiny has a habit of setting up unrealistic expectations. No problem. :)

You dont link your bnet account, it just asks if you want emails for updates on destiny.
