I know that all the footage out there is just that footage and it is alpha gameplay, but for the love of god please tweak the ghost's voice before releasing the game. In all of the videos I've seen it sounds so flat and at times very annoying. I understand it is supposed to be AI and it is not supposed to have all the emotion or intensity of a real person, but right now it is in a very odd area. Although robots/AI are monotone stereotypically, when listening to the narration I am very aware that it is a voice actor. So instead of sounding like what I would imagine a semi-conscious computer to sound like, it ends up sounding like a very unenthusiastic, apathetic voice actor who can't wait to get out of the recording booth. I am not saying that the voice actor did a bad job, I just think there is not enough to the voice to let it stand on its own because of the confines that come along with trying to sound like something that is not truly alive. I think this could easily be fixed with some added effects like a little bit of reverb and echo, and maybe a couple ambient noises that could lend his voice a more techy vibe. I think Futurama's god voice is a good example of this, I have attached a link to a short clip of the voice. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t14zGAfNKoU

3 RepliesSadly, I would have to agree. I was really looking forward to Peter Dinklage being the voice of the ghost, but it really didn't seem right to me in the Alpha. When he says that line about the Wizard "If you see something floating in the air, you have to kill it" I literally cringed it was so bad. With that being said I have full faith that Bungie will be able to remedy this before the game ships. Also while we are on the point of voice acting, I thought the MP game announcer's voice was AWFUL as well.
