Well, I already preordered it (praise The Lord) but my nephew wants to play it so we can play together because of distance, he's only 13? 14? But his parents are really cautious and strict when it comes to buying him games. They won't buy him rated M games because they don't feel comfortable with him playing a game like that. But you know, I just wanted your opinion /(.__.)\
I have a daughter who is three years old so ill field the opinion of a parent (my viewpoint). Ratings on things are to the discretion of the parent and its only what they feel comfortable in what they want their child exposed to.
My daughters favorite movies so far:
Frozen, Pacific Rim, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 (go ninja) and Jurrasic Park.
My viewpoint is that I would much rather expose her to things under conditions I can control and be able to explain things through and teach what's not right to do, what's not right to say. Because as soon as you put kids in school they will just learn about it through other sources.
But some parents will just blindly follow an age rating and in all honesty its their choice how they raise their child and I wouldn't put yourself in an awkward position. The game deals with the violence but nothing overly gory and would expect it to be the same rating as the halo genre.
If you wanted to help out the nephew point out the game is no more violent than watching power rangers. They getting shot and beaten up every episode and they always kill a monster every episode.
Hope this helps.
