Great read :D
I certainly hope that Locke is done with this sort of thing in mind, unlike Palmer <.<

Because for some time now, Halo's been shifting into darker territory, especially with the advances of ONI after the war. And I always figured, that Halo 5 would take us into the darker territory of the Haloverse, because let's face it, the lines aren't so clear on both sides anymore. Chief's caught in the crossfire between the UNSC, which opts to do good, and ONI, who works in the shadows against some of this. Meanwhile, Thel and some of the Covenant remnents are sympathetic and have proven that Humans and the other species can co-exist together, while Jul's reformation of the Covenant is the classical view that Humanity and John once held of the Covenent, you shoot them. But in turn, in their own shadows, they're funded by ONI. Locke could give us a fantastic oppurtunity to delve into these pits of blurred lines. The dark interspecies slums on shared worlds, the not so pristine and noble Human military behind the closed doors of ONI. Guradians could almost be like a future decteive noir of sorts as Locke follow's Chiefs galactic footsteps in the hunt for him.
