Let's legalize murder, -blam!-, kidnapping, and theft then

If you're going to bring up Colorado then remember that traffic accidents have increased due to drivers being high on marijuana. Wonder how many kids playing in the street will be killed because of some jackass thinking they're cool for driving while under the influence

Obviously driving under the influence of ANYTHING is reckless and stupid, but it's wrong to punish everyone, feed an immense black market, for profit super prions, and criminalize around half of the american public. If somebody wants to go home at the end of a long day, light up a joint, and listen to some pink floyd; nobody, not a morel crusader like yourself, not the politicians in DC, NOBODY has the right to tell them that they can't. If they're in they're in a private and safe location, then there is literally no harm done, to anyone (well maybe except for the plant itself), and the same is true with alcohol. as soon as they get behind the wheel, or in a situation where they could do harm, that's a different story, but we already have laws for that. like DUI laws. And if you think that the law is all that's stopping raep, murder, torture and cruelty, then you're an idiot, and might as well just say the only reason you don't go out an kill a few people is the law. The fact is that those laws are in place to punish people for harming others, not to stop people from doing it. And because getting high in the safety of your own home doesn't harm anyone, there is no reason, whatsoever, for it to be illegal. Oh and one last thing.... i too can play the statistic game, turns out high drivers are safer by a huge margin than drunk drivers (and alcohol is still legal), and CO car accidents and fatalities are actually on the decline as pot becomes more legal in colorado.

Not saying that it needs to stay criminalized but I am saying it that it should be more regulated than it currently is. Like anybody that commits a violent crime, there ability to have guns is taken away. Anybody that drives high should loose their ability to purchase marijuana If you want to get high in your own private residence then that's fine. But stay there till you sober up so you don't subject the public to your actions. I sarcastically said to legalize crimes like murder because the war on crime, like drugs, will never end. But there is a major difference between staying at home to smoke than to smoke then drive while impaired China is better than North Korea but at the end of the day China is still shit. And that article is on the topic of MEDICAL marijuana, not RECREATIONAL marijuana. My link, which utilizes scientific research, has concluded that traffic accidents have increased with the legalization of recreational usage. People who use any prescribed drug for medical purposes will use it in a safer manner (not driving impaired) than those that do it for recreational purposes

And here's the simple fact, things are easier to control when they're legal. So by legalizing you can do more to effectively prevent drivers from driving under the influence of anything. Not to mention the ability to regulate the quality, set safety standards for the equipment used to take it, and take billions out of the hands of the cartels and into pocket as tax revenue, all while helping establish a safer society.
