It's not terribly difficult or terribly easy. You don't go to class 7AM-3PM anymore, but instead pick out 4-6 classes that work out in your schedule and take down requirements for you to get your degree. These classes are usually scattered throughout the week. (MWF and T TH classes are the most common you will get)
Your homework usually isn't due the next class time but instead you are given a week to the whole semester to finish the assignments. So you gotta manage your time and make sure you get all your stuff done before the due dates.
You now have to take care of yourself, mommy isn't around to do your laundry anymore. You gotta do your laundry, go to the commons (basically the lunchroom) and fill yourself up, always keep your toiletries stocked, wake yourself up, get to class on time(some teachers will dock points if you miss enough classes) and for the love of my nose remember to take a shower.
Oh wow, you now have responsibilities and have to fly solo, that SUCKS. Nah, extreme freedom comes with this package of managing yourself. You abuse your freedom you will pay the price though.
