When I was a senior in high school, I asked one of the graduates from the previous year what it was like going to college at the university I'm attending now. He said, "It's just school, except you live there." Now that I'm at college, it is pretty much just school. Of course there's money stuff, taking care of yourself, keeping yourself in check and making sure that you take care of certain forms and such, but it is pretty much just school.

  • So it's just being more responsible now that you're on your own. Can it be difficult on the first day?

  • Yeah, just a bit more responsibility and freedom, if you're living away from home. The first day wasn't too bad for me because I checked where all my classes were the day before and figured out what routes I would have to take to get from class to class. I guess the best thing to do on the first day is get up on time and write down where your class is just in case you forget.

  • Thanks I'll keep that in mind for when I start to go to college.
