I'm interested in this handless football game with a round ball you ugly and smelly blokes play.
Just wanted to know if it would be worth it to go to Brazil for the World Cup.

Oh shut up Methew. I'm looking forward to the world cup. England to lose in semi's to penalties.

I don't approve of the corruption and how the people are ignored for the sake of a sporting event, but this isn't a good idea either. It's too late reverse what has been done. The only way Brasil, and its people, is going to benefit from this now is maximize the money the World Cup will bring. Brasil's economy is already very dependent on tourism, and the World Cup is the biggest and most famous sporting event in the world. Yes, the preparations for the event should have happened differently or perhaps not even at all. But there's no way to go back now. Best thing to do at this point is try to make the best of it and obtain as much tourism money as possible.

Governments shouldn't be involved in events that are purely for entertainment, like sports or the arts.

19 RepliesWorld Cup should just be moved to the US or Canada. Can't say I won't be giddy to see if it fail spectacularly in Brazil though. Part of me almost hopes a couple their shoddy stadiums collapse mid game so people can see what a shithole that country is. You think Sochi was bad? Brazil is going to be many times worse.

I would give my opinion on the topic and comment that I would think going to a country with that many problems to simply watch a sporting event I could safely watch at home with more friends/cheaper booze is stupid, but I'd much rather be supir 1337z0rz witty and say how pathetic your obsession is. Man, I'm so funny...

There will be riots regardless of whether Brazil wins or loses. I just can't decide which one will be worse.

2 RepliesBetter than the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
