Frame rate = 25fps
Resolution = 900p with black lines ( because they said it gives a cinematic experience , lol wut!?)
Generic gameplay
No multiplayer
Cutscene in the middle of a fighting section ...
And what is up those dark grey visuals?
Looks like Uncharted's ugly mentally retarded little brother.

Edited by xSwiftVengeancex: 5/24/2014 6:23:10 PMAll I have to say to this is, the game isn't even close to being done, so it's too early to judge its frames per second. Also, it's not traditional 900p like people are suggesting. It's 1920p×900p. They're technically right that it makes it "cinematic", as that's what widescreen Blu-Rays play in. Not to mention, not every game needs multiplayer. On top of that, I'd rather have a cool cinematic melee combat scene in the middle of a firefight than "press R3 to statically hit them with your gun".

Edited by BritLemon: 5/24/2014 6:45:49 PMShadow of Mordor's pre-alpha footage was more polished than this was. So it being months away isn't an excuse.
On top of that, I'd rather have a cool cinematic melee combat scene in the middle of a firefight than "press R3 to statically hit them with your gun".
So you'd like less gameplay in a video game? Movies exist you know.

Edited by xSwiftVengeancex: 5/24/2014 6:58:58 PMHow is hitting R3 once to win any fight better for gameplay?
-
Because it is actual gameplay where the user inputs an action. Not having a cutscene in the middle of a shoot out...
-
You're still inputting the action.
-
Do you not know what a cutscene is?
-
I know what a cutscenes is. How this game is worse than other shooters is what I don't understand.
-
>Cutscene during gunfight
-
No in a cutscene you don't do anything. You just watch unless you can press a button to skip it.
-
I'm confused. Could you give me a timestamp for an example of what you're talking about?
-
You copied this from a YouTube comment.
-
Yea I know, I found it funny and besides I was going to write something similar to that.
-
If it turns out anything like Uncharted, you know what that means?
-
Utterly mediocre, but hyped to hell and back because it's a Sony exclusive?
-
I can respect that. But I don't agree. You don't even like corridor shooters, so I guess it doesn't really matter what you say on this subject. I don't like romance movies, but does that mean they're shit? Nope, just not in my taste.
You could say the same thing about any game. Halo is utterly mediocre but hyped to hell because it's a Microsoft exclusives...Gear of War is... You get the idea.
Look on Metacritic and tell me how Uncharted is a bad game. Surely it wouldn't have such great scores across the board if it was as bad as you make it out to be. I think this is just a case of either: A. You haven't played the game yourself and are judging it from YouTube videos instead of experiencing the whole game Or B. Are like me and just aren't interesting in the genre. It's not a problem with the game, it's a problem with me.
-
It's an utterly mediocre game that was hyped to tell and back for being a Sony exclusive. Also >2014 >still thinking metacritic is legit Shiggity
-
Edited by xSwiftVengeancex: 5/24/2014 6:27:15 PMMetacritic is the best site for game reviews considering it's a giant conglomerate of reviews instead of just 1 super biased article either way. An average of multiple scores instead of going off 1 really high score or 1 really low score is better by far. Also, what group are you in? A or B?
-
Metacritic is the best site for game reviews
lol
-
What's better then? No one review score is better at judging a game than an average of dozens of review scores.
-
lolno Metacritic manipulates scores by arbitrarily weighting some more than others based on a criteria they refuse to disclose. Their entire business model is based on this in order to bring in more traffic and in turn generate ad revenue. In short, metacritic is shit and the only people who still take it seriously are uneducated sheep. >implying you have to fall into either of your categories
-
What's the better alternative then?
-
GameInformer... Metacritic is just filled with fanboys from each side of the spectrum.
-
Watching let's plays and having an own opinion.
-
You're suggesting that you should spoil the storyline of the game before you play it?
