I'm debating on whether or not to get two versions. PS4 Digital & PS3 physical. It doesn't appear that PS4 players can play with PS3 and I may want to play with some PS3 Guardians. Also if the Collectors edition is indeed announced I will want it! Now here is another thing I just purchased the physical copy of Wolfenstein and the file size is 52 gigs. Well the download/install only took 30-40 mins when the disc was inserted. If the Destiny file is around the same size then its probable that the Install won't take forever. So when I pick up the game in store around Midnight I could be playing the game before 2am CST without buying the digital copy and preloading on 9-4. I'm not sure if anyone saw that if you buy the digital version you can only start playing the game at 12am PST on launch day. To me that doesn't seem like I need to buy the digital version because I reside in the Central Time Zone.

  • I'm in a unique situation where assuming I do go to the midnight lauch the earliest (and that's if everything goes smoothly at the retailer) that I will be able to play would be between 2:30~3:00 a.m. Central. If I pick the game up when the retailer opens at 9:00 Central then I'll be looking to begin at around 10:30~11:00. Online retailer using Next Day Air delivers around 4:00 p.m. Central. Digital DL was my best option and I will still pick up the Collector's Edition if announced lol. PS4 set to auto-download 9/4. :)

  • I get that. I basically meant that if I'm only preordering the digital version just to be able to preload on 9-4 then I don't think I should preorder bc of the fact that picking up the game at a Midnight release, driving 10-15 mins to my house, popping in the disc would allow me to start playing before 2am should everything go smoothly at the store. Also I'm only having to pay for one version so that creates less strain on the wallet and I can use $60 for future Destiny DLC.

  • Yeah it would be better for you especially with the short commute. You would actually be playing before me lol. :)
