The cloud will only be useful for their exclusive games as I've said many times before ... so all those other games will not be using it (aka mult-iplatform titles). So as cool as they want the 'cloud' to be there are still many other games that won't need or use it to work. In the end it'll come down to the Xbox One's local processing power ... not some server 5000 miles away.
I personally would rather have my games not be required to be online (like single player games).

and? I like being able to play my games from years ago because they were not tied to servers that would be shut down. This new 'age' of 'better' gaming is far worse. It's a temporary thing. In the future all these games that are online required will no longer be playable since the servers will be dead and gone. Servers cost money and eventually companies will no longer are to sustain them. I don't want to depend on a company to provide me with when I can and cannot play my single player games. I'd much rather play them when I want. Tale Skyrim for example. It's 100% offline. I would cringe if elder scrolls required internet to play for example. Just stupid and unnecessary. I got all the power I need to process the game right on my local machine. I don't need a server for that crap.

Edited by Space Beaver: 5/21/2014 10:17:50 PMI'm for games not requiring internet(aside from MMOs etc). I was pointing out a reason most games shouldn't have internet required.

And half this country still doesn't have reliable internet.

Or the fact that in most of the US the ISPs neglect areas that aren't heavily populated...
