The Halo 4 Soundtrack is phenomenal.

For some reason, I'm only noticing this now, but here it goes. So, I'm scrolling through my computer, browsing the internet. You know, the usual. But this time, I have Halo 4's soundtrack playing in the background. And oh my goodness, I have never felt more epic while organizing my files than I have today. It's not like Marty's work, obviously. Nothing can ever be that good (in my humble opinion.) But it has it's own sort of... playful attractiveness, that get's you interested in listening to it. The compositions are all so vastly different, it's an exciting journey to listen to one after the other, because you're not sure what to expect. It's a real shame Davidge's masterpiece couldn't have been fully utilized by 343i. It felt too quiet at points, and didn't use enough of the original soundtrack (but instead relied heavily upon the extras.) I hope they keep both Davidge and Kazuma on for Halo 5. Post other emotionally inspiring soundtracks (try to avoid the obvious, like Halo or Inception, please.)

  • You're entitled to your opinion but I feel like anyone who honestly thinks Marty's music the undisputed magnum opus of western music doesn't know a whole lot about music.
