Also.. four seasons in.. still couldn't give two shits about Stannis, the red witch, or anything else involving that storyline, save for the scarred little girl. If that could just go ahead and go away.. that'd be great.

You'll be eating your -blam!-ing words after episode 9.

You don't like Stannis?!? He's so badass. He's like my 3rd favourite male character. That scene in Braavos was great! His daughter is cool, too. But Melisandre should go die.

I really don't. If anything I would think that I'd be drawn to the magic and mystery behind Melisandre, but they all seem like such one-dimensional characters at this point. Perhaps the show isn't flushing out the characters as well as the book does or something. But I actually sigh and roll my eyes a little when their storyline comes up on screen. But at this point, I don't have a reason to root for Stannis, so I don't care if he wins or loses. Melisandre is just all around evil, but not so evil that I look forward to seeing her killed (Looking at you, Joffrey) And I can't for the life of me understand why Ravos remains so loyal to Stannis. Which pisses me off.

Davos* :) Yeah, they are more attractive characters once you've read the books. I'll give you that. Davos remains loyal because he's a loyal guy. He owes Stannis everything he has.

Perhaps that's another shortcoming of the series, then. From what I've seen, Stannis hasn't done damn thing for Davos. Stannis was more than happy to take his fingers and let him rot in a dungeon until it became convenient for him. Every piece of guidance Davos offers gets ignored. Idunno. It's certainly a plot point that will have to be flushed out at some point, so I'll reserve judgment as much as possible.
