Bungie should consider people with siblings that would also like to play. I am a twin so practically everything we play has to be split screen. From what I've read it seems quite disappointing that we wont have it, however hopefully they do. Borderlands was similar in game style and it was split screen also. I do support Bungie no matter what though so if it doesn't incorporate split screen, its not a huge huge deal.

Just out of curiosity, how old are you and your brother.
-
Both 16 and a 12 year old younger brother.

Oh, my and my brother (im 11 and he is 13) both used to play halo 4 all night. It will be awesome if Destiny has split screen because I can show of my awesome (hopefully) gear. And we preordered the game , like everyone else in this site did, the game so. PS destiny might not have split screen in the beta.

Technically, it would be a near-impossibility, without keeping players much closer together than might be fun in the larger open world areas. Perhaps in the Strikes, Raids and competitive multiplayer it could be achieveable, but that would limit a huge amount of content players could experience in split screen together, potentially damaging the overall play experience, something Bungie emphatically would be against. Edit: Actually, I just looked and couldn't find any comment from Bungie about split-screen, so maybe they have indeed figured out a way to do it. Good luck on that! :-)

I hope they do as well. I can't play anything without my little brothers wanting to scoot in on the fun.

I'm also a twin and I wish that it can be split screen or cross console connection.

Yeah, i honestly think it would be beneficial to the company considering it provides access to a larger percent of customers.

Bungie created Halo as a party game to be played with friends, bungie was built on splitscreen and team work. Seeing that this game has an emphasis on multiplayer even more so than the halo series, I think it would be crazy not to see Destiny as split screen... of course Activision probably has a lot to do with these decisions. If I were activision and I payed $500 million for a game... there better be as many screens as I want.

Lol agreed. A lot of people want split screen so it would probably be in the best interest of the company and its fan base to make it so.

I don't think it would be good split screen because your character is an online character much like WoW and running two different areas, if you decide to split up, would be hell on the machine to run those simultaneously. I'm sure their reason for not doing is purely technical.

Maybe so. If thats the case then I completely understand.
