  • For the character creation idea I didn't think if that , nice one. I'd love that ! But they aren't going to put it in since there aren't only human races...

  • Technically it could srtill be done, even though I know it won't. Talking only for Destiny, Humans and Awoken are essentially the same race with different color palettes and subtle differences, so scanning could work for them by default. The only really different race are the Exo, and you could achieve scanning with them by having the end result resemble the player or showcasing dominate features, rather than taking an exact scan, like how Disney will typically (or at least used to) have their characters resemble the voice actors portraying them, or how the Avatar's in 'Avatar' resembled the actors playing them. After the "base scan" is established, players could then tweak and customize from here. Speaking for Ex's, players could add metal parts to the face, add LED's to their eyes, etc. Much of this would be dependent on how extensive and in-depth the included software would be, and how well it works with the hardware. Since Destiny only has 3 races to choose from, an undertaking like this may be too intensive, but for a game like Elder Scrolls or even Dragon Age, if done well, it could be amazing and really give players a way to effectively put themselves in the game, without looking cheesy, like say just a photo of their face slapped on a default model.
