Looks great!
See! I called it. That guy's helmet folds like a medieval knight's helmet.
Looks like Sledgehammer is making some welcomed changes this year. With me not getting Halo 5, I might actually have some spare change to buy the prestige edition this year.
I hope we get some more multi-player this Sunday.
What do you guys think?

I think that it's proven the community's ability to judge things without ever watching the trailer. Not that you should judge things based on trailers either, just it's hard to argue "It's the same game" when you haven't even looked at it. Other than that, it looks pretty good, I can't help but think the story's going to aim as being an intelligent commentary on human nature and the idea of democracy but is going to be watered down by the higher ups so that it's SO predictable it'll be painful. Allow me to explain what the story will be: You will work for a PMC headed by Kevin Spacey (As said in the marketing materials) who will instruct you to perform several strikes against the USA however, after a while, you will either have a crisis of conscience or Spacey will betray you (Because anyone who disagrees with freedom is a monster to everyone, obviously!) and you'll defect to the USA and fight against your former employer who will now somehow be invading America with superior force (Possibly with a doomsday device you secured) but eventually 'MERICA! will overcome it and you'll shoot Frank Underwood in the head. Now watch that be the EXACT plot.

>not buying Halo 5 >buying COD 2014 Sure is cancer in here.
-
Shiny new graphics, same C&P'd shit they've been doing for years. Not interested. Next.

The Campaign looks interesting. Though I said that for BO2. Evertuhing else seems meh.

I haven't seen any changes yet... Well, besides the possible time-line and obvious texture changes. For all we know, it will be all the same gameplay mechanics. The hover bikes, wall climbing, exos, etc. do not excite me, since they will probably be quick time events smashed into the dull linear gameplay that COD has always had. Those aren't new features those are the same old mechanics just with different representation. Now, if this turns into more of a sandbox style game, and you can use those features at your own time/disposal, going about conflict in several different ways, then I will retract my statement.

Too much Halo stolen from Halo in it

3 RepliesCod is dead !!

What's next, Call of Duty: Paintball Warfare?
All your favorite weapons from past installments... except they shoot balls of paint.
-
It's the same game as before. I'll bet 2 million dollars, but hell the series is dead to me anyways
-
Hurr durr let's buy CoD Black Ops III next year and Ghosts 2 the year after that They look so much better than non copy and pasted games
-
I won't have time for garbage FPS games that try to emulate Titanfall this November, there's a new Pokemon coming!

I'm not really a fan of the franchise -- well, half of it, since the Infinity Ward games are pretty bad now, and Treyarch's early stuff was pretty bad -- but I'll give Sledgehammer a chance. I'm not going to go out and buy it day one, but I'll see how it's received, maybe get some opinions from my friends who do purchase the games annually. If it does well, I'll give it a shot. On another note, I want to refute the people saying that this is a direct response to Titanfall; it takes a little longer than a year to get an idea for a game up and running in a state that looks as polished as this. Advanced Warfare has actually been in development since MW3 launched.

5 RepliesThat's funny, I thought it was next gen only? Pfffftttt

Meh. If it's still the same Killstreak/Perks system I won't be buying it.

1 ReplyThe op is a testament to proving how bad the gaming industry is dying.
-
You mean the new halo

When it's November, I'll wait another two short months and get the game for 25% off. That's what I did with Ghosts... but the maps and weapons were dissapointing, it had to grow on me. But Sledgehammer did some nice work with MW3, I have faith they can nail the multiplayer again this time.
-
So... this is definitely a direct answer to Titanfall. It looks cool and all but... come on.
-
1 ReplyNot going to lie even though I've not been a fan of CoD since MW2 , this game actually looks pretty cool.
-
1 ReplyIf they can balance multiplayer better then I might consider it. However given CODs track record it's looking like I won't be interested.
-
4 RepliesMy first thoughts were what the hell did I just watch and remember when Call of Duty used to be about war?
-
3 RepliesI like the look of it, however I just hope it's not a steaming pile of dung like Ghosts is.
-
2 RepliesI'll admit it looks cool, but it looks like Titanfall with a real campaign.
