Why would you salute if your tapping buttons on a controller? C'mon think about it realistically here. You should say "I engage", "I invite", "I raise my controller to you"-That's more like it.

If you've ever played an mmo, then you would understand emotes. There is saluting in Destiny, if Bungie decided to make it for pc, it would be done like that.
-
No, no one would be saying "I salute"..or saluting
-
I think you may have misunderstood me. If you target an ally in a game like lets say FFXIV, and type /salute, your character will salute said ally. This being a community of people anticipating a video game with many mmo qualities typing /salute fits the motif.

Edited by Legend To None: 5/5/2014 6:31:47 AMYes I did misunderstand, thank you But a salute is too boring, they would maybe has a wave salute but not a military salute
-
It may be boring for you but I feel that a salute is a sign of respect to other would be guardians who are going to become legend starting this September. Also I'm a vet so saluting comes naturally.
-
I still fight the urge to salute lol
-
Lol it would get on my nerves when dealing with a douche officer from time to time.
-
I got a special salute for those ;)

Edited by Legend To None: 5/5/2014 11:48:06 PMI wouldn't want my character to be uptight with it. But if you pass someone and he does the wave salute, it would look cooler
-
To each his own I guess
-
Ya true. But gestures would be cool. Like in Halo 2 you could lower your gun online at anytime would made you look cool as you ran
-
I'm sure Bungie will make all of the gestures appealing and if not hopefully they listen to our feedback during beta
-
The will listen to the most reasonable response, like with the Halo Reach beta. Some small but important details with Armor lock and all were changed even tho Beta was the best
