I was once a Christian. I legitimately thought that I had accepted Jesus Christ into my life. I had doubts, but there were periods of time throughout my life in which I had none. I don't consider myself a Christian now. According to most Christians in the US, am I going to heaven or hell?
And if you don't know what most Christians in the US think, then what do most Southern Baptists think?
I've come across 3 possibilities from Christians in my area.
1. I lost my belief in God, but I'm still going to heaven if I was saved.
2. I was never saved in the first place.
3. I was going to heaven, but now I'm going to hell.

Sounds like you are going to purgatory.
-
Neither. You're going to the mute list.
-
You go hell
-
Being religious =/= being a good person.
-
Hell.
-
If God was someone worth worshiping? Assuming you still lived a life of relatively good morals after losing your faith, you'd still be going to heaven. But, you know...who really knows all the rules to these things?

Religious post inbound! It's hell for you.
Or do you want to go on the mute list? Pick one...
Detroit You're going to Detroit. Maybe Chicago.
-
I hope you go to hell for posting this.

You're going to hell. Don't post again.

Strip yourself from any affiliation and read the bible yourself. Skip the old testament and head for the new. If you can find a bible that is translated into modern english it would make it a ton times easier to read and just use a greek interlinear to look up scriptures that you have doubts on the proper wording.

3 RepliesWell that depends; what do you consider yourself religiously? Have you lost your faith entirely and reject the truth of God or are you just going through a doubting phase?
-
-
1 or 2 depending on more details of your salvation. When you thought you got saved, were you under conviction, or did you just do it and kinda felt nothing?
-
3 RepliesHell. You could live your whole life as a devout Christian doing good deeds and living a righteous life and then lose your faith at the last minute and go to hell. That's how it works in 99% of Christian sects.

I dunno I'm not a Christian.
-
i take it you don't really interpret the bible that much......

My personal belief is #1. I'm a Foursquare Christian, so do with that what you will. I also would say that life following Christ is much more fulfilling and joyous. I hope that you come to see Christ, if not, see you in the afterlife.

Edited by BannedPiranha: 4/30/2014 1:10:40 AMNo one really knows what happens when we die. If they tell you they do they're full of shit. I might have an idea(where were you before you were born?) but that's just speculation based on neuroscience and physics.

If you were elected for heaven you will go there. If not, you will not go there. What you think you believe is not valid in where you are going. See John Calvin if you are confused.

Doesn't matter belief, matters if you were good or bad. At least in my book.
