How the -blam!- does Revenge of The Shit have as many votes as A new Hope?
English
-
It's more enjoyable.

Because they were <10 when they saw Revenge of the Sith so they saw pretty colors and explosions and instantly believed that one was the best. Never mind that it's completely devoid of any and all emotion or good writing and the action scenes feel so incredibly fake due to the overuse of CGI and the obviously choreographed fighting movements that serve absolutely no purpose other than to make things look good.

I don't see why people think that all movies must have deep morals. I don't see anything wrong in making a generic action bust every now and then like Brick Mansions and The Raid 1. I don't see how that's a bad thing, or devoids it of art. I know that people prefer their heavy dramas like I Come With The Rain, There Will Be Blood, 3:10 To Yuma, The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly, and No Country for Old Men, but there's nothing inherently wrong in watching a generic action movie every now and then like Body of Lies, Inception, Batman Begins, Dredd, Batman and Robin, Blade Trinity or Olympus Has Fallen...
-
You can like generic action crap all you want. Just don't go around claiming it's actually good.

You're an idiot. Sometimes it's nice to have a blast. Don't get me wrong, I like my dark brooding dramas like Filth, 12 Years a Slave, I Come With The Rain, There Will Be Blood, 3:10 To Yuma, and Sunshine but I like my action movies too. I like some variety in my films not just all the same old brooding drama...

Now you're implying that the original trilogy was some brooding drama. Once again, you can like your generic action movies, no one is saying you can't. Just don't go around trying to say that they're of the same quality as things like Citizen Kane.
-
They have the same merit as Citizen Kane it's just that they provide a different level of depth to the experience. Quality isn't a good as variety.

Like I said, Citizen Kane provides depth and intrigue, Transformers: The Dark Side of the Moon provides entertainment and splosions. Two different types of entertainment; one of them is background entertainment and popcorn flickiness and the other is depth, personality and some in-depth heavy drama. I don't think that they are the only one or the other type of entertainment; they both have their inherent flaws. For example, I wouldn't wanna watch Citizen Kane if I was in a foul mode; I'd wanna watch a mindless half-hearted explosion fest like Transformers: The Dark Side of the Moon to take my mind off of things. If I wanted to sit down to a popcorn flick with a carton of popcorn and watch a heavy in-depth movie for depth and absorbing screenplay, then I would watch Citizen Kane. Both have their inherent values, and both depend upon what type of mood one is in...

I cant say Im Not guilty of this myself. I used to love Phantom Menace and Batman Forever and a whole buch of shitty movies when I was little. I cant say I havent stoped enjoyig them But I do realise they are Turboshit now. I honestly did like the action of the Prequels but as moves they just suck.
-
Becasuse it's better? Obviously?
-
More importantly, why does Episode 2 have more votes than 1?
-
Because it sucks only marginally less than episode 2, so the difference is naught.
