Epic Gaming Moments/Experiences

I was just looking at a post about awesome moments in Halo, and that got me thinking. I've never gotten the chance to play Halo, but I have had many awesome gaming experiences. One I can remember is going to my friends house and playing COD Ghosts (My first COD game, I never played the others so it didn't feel like the "same thing as last time") the whole day. I actually adjusted to the game really fast and got pretty good (my friend... not so much) and I did really well. THEN we played Extinction for about 3 hours trying to beat Point of Contact, but none of our teammates were that great. Eventually though, we started getting tired, and our minds got tired, and my friend starting trolling people on the mic (which I doubt he'd actually do if he was wide awake) and we got a ton of laughs from that.

  • I keep seeing people posting on this just about Halo, and that's fine. But just so you know I was just asking for any epic moment from any game.

  • Playing Halo 3 with a friend on the map Highground. He kept running me over with a Ghost so I equipped my plasma grenade and threw it at him as he was coming in for the next splatter. I jumped into the air just in case he was still coming towards me across the ground. The plasma grenade actually landed under him, so it shot him harmlessly into the air. I was still in mid jump when he flew across the air like a graceful goose and ran me over in mid air. We laughed for about 3 minutes straight.

  • Skyrim, traversing the land I came across a lone horse on a hill side. I investigated, only to find the owner being beaten into a pulp by a band of Forsworn! I picked a number off with my bow, but the crowd was closing in fast. I shouted Unrelenting Force, Fus Ro Dah, and to my surprise the majority instantly turned to ashes! I had apparently mastered and boosted that shouts ability to a greater deal than my wildest dreams! After taking one or two out with my trusty sword and shield, I approached the body of the old woman, late owner of the horse. She had on her a note or a map, not sure of which. I took it upon myself to finish her quest, upon her horse of course. But then, a straggler Forsworn archer leaped from behind a boulder, and barraged the steed with arrows. I cursed his existence, and plunged my sword into his heartless chest. That day, like many, I continued on foot. I also have a tale of when I became level 80 :)

    • I remember another story: Legend of Zelda Games: I was so relieved when I finally got to the end of a dungeon. I had completed all the puzzles, got all the treasure, searched every area. But then there is the boss. No, this isn't about a specific boss, just most of them. I would go into the boss' room and feel like I could take him on, I've already accomplished so much. But I can't. I try again and again. I begin to memorize his attack patterns, when he leaves open weak spots, and I formulate a plan. After all, some guy once told me "If at first you don't succeed, try, try again". And I did try again. Many times. And once the beast was slain, that was when my true sense of epic accomplishment came.

Please, tell me more about how shitty your aim is" >jump the airport fence. Newfag thinks he's got some shit. >pull out my RPG, this bitch is goin down. >forget my target prediction sucks for the main part. >Newfag couldn't even strafe me after 25+ tries! and barely avoided my Shittily aimed rockets. >I keep reminding him that he blows balls at flying! especially considering that I could have strafed my ass in no more than three runs. >Newfag still thinks he's big, switches to the rockets, thinking that hell have better luck. >lolnope.jpeg >I fire my last RPG, Newfag barely dodges it, even though it was a long distance shot. >self proclaimed King of Jets flys off to pick on some kids who were going after a crate drop. >kids were in an Attack Heli. >I hear one kid, no older than 9 shout "SHIT JET!" >can't help but think that he needs to watch his mouth. >well whatever. >9y/o has annihilated Newfag >NotBad.jpeg. >proceed to lmao at Newfag, reminding him that a squeaker killed him with a helicopter. >Newfag texts me saying "Yeah, laugh it up ps called n mercs." >okay.jpeg >kill mercs! steal Mesa, sell it for $7k Moral of the story? I remember when I played BF4 for the first time after I got my PS4 and getting about 5-7 kills in a row Rogue Transmission. It's funny because the players I killed didn't even notice me. The first guy I parachuted onto from one of those spires that held the dish and knifed him. I sniped one guy from that building I landed on, jumped off under the lower dish structure, and knifed another guy who was running toward me but didn't notice me because he was running from someone else. I then knifed a couple more guys by the edge of the lower dish who were sniping toward the middle and finished off the killing spree with a head shot on a player who was running up a hill toward the T. Rex easter egg. I think I went Rambo during that game.

          • During the BF4 beta I barely made it out of C tower with 1 hp when it fell. In BF3 a friend got crushed by a water tower. Sorry for potato. Before I had Xbox Live I would have LAN parties with friends with Halo 2 being the main game we played. At one point we had a 2 v 2 grudge match on Coagulation (much hiding, very wow). At one point the other team had both tanks and were ahead in points. My friend and I were hiding in the cave with the Camouflage. Being the dumb kids we were we played the song Iron Man on my radio at max volume to signal our comeback. I grabbed the Camo and snuck my way to one of the tanks and boarded it. When I started beating on my tank the other tank tried to shoot me off, but my friend boarded that tank and destroyed it a second after I destroyed the other tank. We walked away from that game with 1 victory and 2 sore asses that still deny that game ever happened because "It wasn't recorded in theater mode." A silly Halo 2 story: We're playing on Relic in another LAN grudge match, this time it's 3 v 3. Those two same assholes have both sniper rifles and were camping on a high rock and we couldn't get close with the extra asshole running around in a Ghost. My battle buddy grabbed the Rocket Launcher and took aim at the sniping assholes who were standing side by side for some reason. Shortly after he shot the rocket we heard from the other room, that the assholes were in, that made us giddy with laughter, "Did you hear that?" We walked away with another victory.

          • When I was 11 I was playing Starcraft: Brood War online. I was playing a 5v3, 5 players against 3 super-difficult AIs. Two of our guys got knocked out of the game so it was a 3v3. The AI kept attacking us aggressively throughout the whole game and kept beating our forces. The game went on for about 5 hours and I recall killing over 1000 units while I lost a lot as well. I sent friend requests to the dudes in the game because they were pretty good players and we communicated like we knew each other. I went to sleep as soon as we won. I was so tired and burnt out.
