Maybe I was the only one who caught this, but I could tell that the sound has been beefed up since last year. The weapons do have more "presence" than they use to. Then again, I watched the trailers with headphones on. That said. I agree that Bungie needs to strike that right balance. So you [i]hear[/i] the power. Then again, the reason many guns sound "pewpew" is because they are mass-driven weapons. It's the future, baby ;)

But they definitely should give that feeling of power even through non-surround-sound speakers. It's possible to do, we've seen it plenty of times!
